I dont think we should gain anatomy when fighting, you cant learn it just smashing people up, it must be studied. Maybe make it that you cant use it on yourself and only on others. Maybe we could gain it when carving dead bodies too.

I can almost see your point.

On one hand, with Anatomy tied in with Healing, it seems to imply careful study and books, as it rightly should.

On the other, I think as a warrior walks his or her path, they will slowly learn over time what parts of the body to strike for that extra point or two of damage.

However, I suspect that your concern stems more from the fact that many people want to lock in their Anatomy at a certain point. This is understandable.

This may relate in part to how the race balance debate is going. (http://www.dxgaming.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=19190) But I can't help but think that a game would be pretty boring if NONE of your minor (non-GM) skills ever changed once you got them to where you wanted. I just can't see a warrior saying "Oh! You didn't see that! Do no learn!"

In short, does this help? Or did I hit the nail on the head with the fact that people want to lock certain skills at a level they choose?

Yes i can surely agree with this, but then we should gain anatomy from healing, magery and as i have said before from carving dead bodies too.

Yes that was the case why i created this topic in the first place :)
though im not sure how is poisoning and poison healing system will work after the patch, so maybe having 100 anatomy will be better then having 60 as it was before the patch

Please check the news on the T4A Patch, it mentions what the healing changes were.

So yes, gm anatomy is better than 60 anatomy.
