Do you think that dropping kills afk in jail should be illegal or not?
Hell yea! You are taking an advantage by being afk.  44%  [ 11 ]
No way, since dropping kills now it can take even a whole day for a single kill, what advantage do I take to sit in jail and not play at all?  56%  [ 14 ]

until the kill decay becomes less TOTALLY F***IN RIDICULOUS
who stays logged in all day normally?

and doesn't go on there PvP character and PvP.
I see some crafters starting to turn grey and red. (ominaro is one EG.wit 4 kills)

thats when you know the kill decay system is out of wack.
specially when most kills are just play kills or 'i hit you a half hour b4 now someone else kills you and we both get kills kinda thing'

Ominaro has kills because she has a bit of a fetish for throwing explosion pots at vendors. As for these other crafters, I dunno who they've killed and honestly don't care. Perhaps it was someone defending themselves from an unwanton pker attack, or perhaps having too much fun with their new Avatar? Or maybe even having some fun with explosive potions :). At any rate, I agree with Chips. By the way...not every person that doesn't respond to you is afk...maybe they just don't like you.

I have like 21 kills and thats a long long time.... Pvpers maybe get 2 kills a day and i dont say on for 10 hours a day to decay thos 2 kills i got so if u think about it that will build up to be alot of kills.

As you get more kills, the time to decay them goes down.

So basically, if you're a pk who has 50-100 kills, you are going to have to kill pretty consistently to stay up there.

Likewise if you're a blue, better not kill much or you won't stay blue long.
This reflects the true nature of people better than the old system of "kill decays take x time, period".
No more people running around blue when they should be red, nor people who are permanently red after trying to go blue just because the kills decay at a set rate.

This will be mitigated a bit once the murder patch goes in by the ability to not make your killer gain a kill count if it's by screwing around, but i have seen tons of characters that have never been red from kills so it's not that hard to avoid accidental kills, and certainly not the menace you people claim it to be.


Anyway this was all explained in the changelog when the new murder system went in. I'd appreciate it if people went and read the changelogs. :P It saves these explanantions.
And yes when obsidian is nearing completion i'll compile all the changelog info into a real manual about skills and stuff. For now just read the changelogs.

ok the more kills you have the less it takes to drop them? thats retarded....
and plenty of people don't PvP with there PvP characters, thats who your probably looking at,,,,,
idc about it reality wise.... or atleast make it so they decay when ur on any character on the account or without you having to be on or somthing cuz this is dumb..

make lower numbers a bit more forgiving is what we ask, for us average pvpers. or atleast make 10 be the number where your auto red....

or 5 and under 3000 karma is red 6 is 3500 karma 7 kills is red with 4500 or lower karma 8 is 6k ,9 is 7k and 10 auto red..

because having a character that has 10k karma and be red is kinda retarded :/

I like the system we have, my observation has been that it is to stop part-time pk's - & for those who want a high kill count, like anything else here they have to work at it.

As for the number of kills for turning red, 5 is a reasonable number. It is also the original amount from uo:t2a (I'm almost positive it was 8 hours of game time to decay a kill back then too) :)

Seems to me, but i don't really know for sure i haven't played around with it but this should actually be a good thing. It keeps people from for 1 only pvping in town, and people who want to go around and get the kills but don't want the drawbacks of being a red char. And really it doesn't matter about the kills because once your karma is way down you are pretty much perma red anyway. You can hunt bit and make your char grey but 1 or 2 kills and you are right back there anyway. The point is if you want to pvp a lot you will just have to get used to being red.

but problem is, you dont have to PVP alot to be red now belg...
1 fight a day = red...
and i can have 10k karma and still be red like i said b4, meaning i PvM more then PvP yet i still become red ,,, I doubt we'll see any people actually becoming red from karma,,,,
and thats stupid to me,,, theres no point of having karma then,,
its either ur blue or have 5 kills, the only greys i see is ominaro or w.e his name is becaues hes a crafter,,, (with 4 kills)
