Ashes, as previously explained you would not possibly be able to ingest enough psylocybic mushrooms in terms of mass in order to overdose. Even the strongest shrooms (blue meanies) would still require you to consume far more than is humanly possible in order to reach the required dose. You would probably trip your tits off and froth at the mouth / vomit etc but you wouldn't be able to kill yourself this way.

This has been calculated by factoring scientific tests regarding the lethality of psylocybin with the percentage concentrations of this chemical naturally occuring in the mushrooms.

The ONLY way that you could overdose on psylocybin would be if it was extracted (NOT easy to do as it is not a stable compound) and taken in a pure form.

If anyone died from taking mushrooms then they ingested a kind that were poisonous... either when psylocybic shrooms were misidentified or if they were taking amanitas anyway which are a COMPLETELY different drug and chemical altogether. This is fact, Ashes, and arguing til you are blue in the face won't make you any more right.

Thassius err... I thought you were arguing that the opposite of this point. However, we all know death can TECHINCALLY be cause by anything such as caffiene though, in certain conditions just due to high blood pressure, etc.

Had a look around for deaths cause by Magic Mushrooms, and found nothing other than people doing stupid things while tripping, or eating poisonous mushrooms. As mentioned before, Fly Argic are toxic, so if she did OD on a fungus she knowingly ate, that's the only one I can think of.

Try doing that on someone who has a liver disease... Mushrooms are hell on the liver, it's 10x worse than alcohol is. So yes, she did injest enough psylocybic mushrooms to do serious damage to her already failing liver, causing her to die.

No, because they are allergic to it. She wasn't allergic to mushroom, she did them tons before, and never had any problems. It wasn't until she took enough to put her into convulsions (I.E Overdosing) that shut down her liver and other vital organs.

It was caused by mushrooms. When someone dies from eating a poison, it's the poison that caused it, regardless of other issues/diseases, because prior to eating too much of it, they were living fine.

People with a failing heart can die from exercising, so by your logic exercising is more risky than breathing toxic fumes.

Thanks for mentioning the failing liver in the first place too. Obviously there are going to be exceptions when one of your vital organs doesn't work properly.
