Yeah Egg I dont think they should sue the newspaper right? Maybe they should give them a reward maybe that would be better. What is the difference between Bush and Saddam anyways? Bush killed more ppl than Saddam even did. The news reports everyday are kinda one sided oh a suicide bomber blew himself up and such. but when the news reports 40 civilians die because of human error the military just finds some excuse to cover it up so yeah id say Bush=Saddam or Saddam=Bush whichever way you like it and I would say the French are politically a bit more mature.

Well i don't find egg's comment all that racist and history has shown of the french doing what he mentioned in many diff eras. And that just comes from ancient rivalry more than racism. After all france did fall rather fast to n.azi germany, but im sure France has won some courageous battles!.... right??? *flips through the history book to come up short* just kidding! it's all in fun! But just to be fair! English people are pretty fugly and have bad teeth and don't have any good traditional foods which french are elite for so ya, sod off!

Difficult one this - we are in danger or becoming overly political correct which is not neccessary. But at the same time, I don't want to see people's race, nationality or religious beliefs attacked.

I guess its probably not good to attack the french (or anyone else) given that it offends french players.

However, what necro may not be aware of is that over here the english/french rivalry is generally far more light-hearted than simple-minded racism and is in fact used colloquially after a long history of being at odds with each other.

After all, the 'two-finger salute' was invented as an insult to the french by the english bowmen at the battle of Agincourt. We also have political rivalry that continues at the present day.

Still, while this kind of thing is fine for talk in the pub, amongst friends ingame or over messenger, it would make my job alot easier if it was kept off the boards to prevent people taking offense.

Look i didnt post this to offend or be racist and start a english/french war again. What i said was meant to be light hearted. the fact that some flabby ex dictator was strutting about in his nappy seemed to tickle me as i know it would do others. If I came across as personally insulting i appologise Nec, that is not and never will be my way and i will be the first to put my hands up and admit when i've made a boo boo. I do not hate french, I never have. One of the reasons i enjoy playing Obs and will always return is it gives me the opportunity to play alongside ppl as freinds I've made from a mix of so many ages and nationalities. Your all straying away from the point here. Forget the stuffy boring politics and picking the bones out of posts for one second, lighten up and look at fatty's undies.
