Finally.....BB has come back to Obsidian!

Hey all. It looks like constantly pointing out the hideous state of disrepair that was Obsidian you got my attention. When I saw that alot of you were *still* playing with the shard only going at 50% I was amazed. Honestly I thought Obsidian would be dead by now...that you would give up on it and let it die. Well 6 months later i see that people are still on and somehow finding enjoyment. On top of that there are new players?!? What's up with that?

Anyways I feel so bad for allowing Obsidian to get to this point that I just had to do something about it. You see I'm not the type of individual that allows his hard work go to waste and the shard your looking at has over 3 years and 5,000+ man hours invested in it.

I don't have much time to go any further, but I have fixed several issues and we'll see if I can find the time to address more in the near future. I guess it just depends on how you react to my partial return. Here is some of the stuff that's been addressed.

ObsidianShard.com Revived - I have finally retired the oh so familiar www.dxgaming.com/obsidian address in favor of the domain that I spent my hard earned money on. Please only use www.obsidianshard.com from now on as the other address is defunct.
Account Creation Fixed - You can once again create new accounts through the auto account creation section of the site. New accounts are added hourly.
Lost Password Fixed - It is once again possible to have your password emailed to you from the website.
Account Status Online - The main webpage will correctly display the amount of players logged in again and the account status page will again allow you to view your characters and account statistics from your web browser.
Server Upgrade - The server was upgraded to a newer faster machine. This was not intended for Obsidian, but it looks like you guys benifit from it. Watch out for even quicker world saves and less downtime.
Character Ages Properly Display - On the server status page, all logged in characters will now display the correct age. Sometimes a player would have an age of 0 or their age wouldn't update.
Weapons Fixed - It looks like we added the thousands of new weapons then then I disappeared leaving several bugs. At this point weapons will no longer recharge automatically, and they will no longer lose their identification every time the server reboots. The next patch will offer a NPC, item or skill that can be used to recharge these weapons.
Account Status Online - The main webpage will correctly display the amount of players logged in again and the account status page will again allow you to view your characters and account statistics from your web browser.

That's everything I can think of off the top of my head, but hopefully this will help with some of the headaches you all have been having. Hopefully I'll catch you all in the forums and maybe even see you ingame.

Finally.....BB has come back to Obsidian!
