My day so far:

*logins in and checks in box*
*Sees 5 new pms from people saying "I lost xxx from a chest"*
*does the basic work to see where the big ticket items ended up(rare armor, etc)*

And what ran through my head was simply:
Jesus f'ing christ...
Did anyone NOT go on a looting spree?

Seriously we have 6-12 players on average and i have at least 7 different people on my shitlist, with half of them having major infractions(>50k worth of items stolen).

Is it unreasonable to assume that when people see a house chest with a hundred thousand gold+ of items or other things unlocked at a house, they would figure it's a bug with house chest locking?

OR am i overestimating the greed of players?

I'd like to think that just asking yourself, "IS this too good to be true?"
If so, it's probably a bug, or at least you should ask staff to confirm it's not
was a reasonable expectation and that people can follow it easily enough.

I mean hell if even ONE person had done this, that bug coulda been fixed and dressed in under two days, instead of waiting a month for someone to say somethign about it. That part is what peeves me off the most. :(

Also you all better frkin love me, if i was any lazier i'd just rollback, we're almost up to over 2 mil (rough estimate for market price) of stolen shit, and i've been sorely tempted just to roll it back 4 weeks instead of spending the time(over 5 hours now).

If i get another huge list or two, i might rollback, just beacause spending 10 hours tracking down shit as opposed to programming new stuff/bugfixes does not seem like a good time spent with me, especially considering the current method only cover shit people knows is missing so stuff from people on vacation/etc might get missed.

That would stand to reason insofar as they only did that on the one place. If they continued on to find some of these other 'mistakes' then they should know better.

Well yah... i would think something was up after i found the second one.

But how many people looted more than 1 house?

to be honest, someone told me they found a missing stone or barrel that was used as a fence around a house that was not locked down, they showed me this property yesterday. it was right behind one of those houses so that you needed your circle of transparency on to find it unlocked, it was the only one NOT locked down, ithought i would have done same thing, went in a looted like hell, but i guess it depends on the circumstances.

this must of been a serious bug I too have noticed my black cats shrunken missing from my steps of my house and my other items that I had locked down but whatever. I didn't even know there was a bug with houses until you posted it and I'm pretty sure since the house patch till now people didn't even think about it but I do agree if it's very valuable stuff missing then some of it should be returned....It's not unreasonable because if people went on a looting spree then they obviously knew there was a bug! I only saw one unsecured chest figured it was just logs that I can use for training since who in their right mind willl put 30K logs in a secured chest must be a nice house?....

Yes it is to much to ask to report bugs.

I speak from personal experience, when i report a bug. I get a major background check to see if i abused that bug and even if i didnt i get blamed for abusing it, so its a loose loose situation. Atleast if i dont report and abuse i may have a chance of gain. Otherwise there is no chance for me.

Just like now i currently now a bug to loot houses but if id report it id get screwed over.

P.S. ^^^^ that bug i did not abuse. i noticed it while i was bored and never did it again.

Ya know normally i let you play that pity card and let it slide, but doing it while i'm already pissed off at cheaters isn't smart.
So let it go into public record for all to see:

Kingblacktorn, you're under the proverbial microscope because you're a known bug abuser and a cheat. You have proven multiple times that you will exploit a situation to your advantage if you think you can get away with it, and you even reinforce that statement when you say "At least if i don't report it and abuse i may have a chance of gain". The only reason you are on the straight and narrow for so long is because you KNOW if you start abusing shit i will come down hard on you, because that is what it's taken to get you to finally play the game like a legitimate player. You have very little regard for the game balance itself and only follow the rules because you know you're on my short list.

Also because you like to pretend your a badass by constantly reminding people "I know this bug but i'm not telling" even though half of the time you're talking out your ass and don't know anything.

Tl:dr - You brought it on yourself after years of proven abuse, and therefore get no sympathy from anyone.

As for everyone else, you have <8 hours to submit your reports of stolen shit. I'll decide later tonight whether a partial or full rollback is neccessary.
