Should work as animating the dead corpse not some weak different npc...if you kill a golem a golem should be animated....if you kill a skeleton a skeleton should be animated not a skeleton archer...

or maybe to not make it an overpowered spell, it would animate w/e monster but with less of his power, like 50%?

So we are in agreement that necromancers want to see animate dead returned to it's former function?
You WILL lose the skeleton king possibility, and you will not be able to animate everything.

I do not agree with this. I think animate Dead is fine how it is. I think maybe summon undead should give up a menu to summon those other things.

Keep animating the Dead how it is.. I like it, It gives me the option of using one of my dead bears in pvp to make a skele king.. Ive already adapted to this, why does everything always gotta change when people get adapted to things.

well what can't we animate? Why restrict the cool powers of the necromancer?...its better than being a mage atm...Summon undead should have a list and new npcs to choose from depending on skills and resources etc...
Animate dead should just animate whatever is dead.... makes the game more fun....

Animate dead is good how it is now.. Im not trying to have it so you have to kill a boss to animate it for 2 minutes... and have it dissaper.
I am trying to animate a shit monster and make it a boss to kill the boss... what good does a boss animate do me if no boss to kill due to the fact that id have to kill it first to animate it..

why animate bosses? why not drakes golems etc.. and listen to yourself you suppose to animate the dead as in something thats already dead.

exactly... lol usually boses are surrounded by strong monsters...
a an amount of drakes killing a gorge would be alot better then a skele archers lol
or even a skele horse
