first off i honestly didnt think it was that off topic... aside from the post diablo made about what falin wrote....

last i checked a horse just a normal horse sold from anywhere between 1-2k which is pretty crazy ever since BB took out stable masters that sold horse for 500gp a piece ride prices have been just stupid high tamers brought that post on themselves in all fairness.

and to be totally honest i think its a good idea i mean the "vet reward" stops at 90 extra skill points when i dont think it should be capped at all... so why shouldnt someone thats been here for over 10 years not get a noobied ride? that just seems right to me.

Uh no. Sounds pretty stupid for only vets to get them & stupid in general this system put in.

Sparger already mentioned why it wouldn't be implemented, so why bring it up again?

its a big advatage to be on a ride in many pvp situations...if your ride ever dies..then yo have advantage all the time. it wont come into play too often but there are instances.

No I agree with Blob and I think anyone that has been playing this game past the vet skill rewards should be able to get a noobfied ethereal ride seriously. I mean i can understand making this game completely boring but atleast give some credit to the players that played here since forever. One of the things that got me into ultima was the rewards they gave their vets for playing a long time. Ultima online gave their vets ethereal rides after two years... give some to players that been here 7+ years. That's one thing that always turned me off treating players like handicapped cousins...skill rewards is a great idea but players of this sort of game almost always like item rewards and to all the new players crying about it should be quiet cuz players thats been around been through worst stages of this shard when it wasn't maintained when it was buggy when staff and players forgot about it and no one would log on in months, crazy rollbacks, etc..... GOLD wipe? seriously. Give the man a ethereal ride and give it to vets only! You may even see old players come from no where to play again just because they will feel like staff indeed do care about the community. But this will fall unto death ears and nothing will be done...so nice try blob though I suggested this one long ago.

big pvp advantage? i dont see it that way at all... as it stands if someone wants to pay a stupid price for a horse and maybe a pet protection pot they can get rides. plus who cares? i certainly dont not one bit. so a small player base gets them thats not unfair for time played here....

I think it is a handi-incapable idea. It will never happen so who cares anyways?
As for rides costing too much...yeah right! lol Most people give them away as of late. If you ask in town for one, chances are you will be given one.
If you want a nicer ride than a regular horse, tame one or buy one. If the price is too high, do not pay it. It is supply and demand really.
If ethereal rides were ever implemented, I would hope that they had restrictions such as: 24 hour timer, appear as a plain old horse...no special look and also, it can be dispelled or 'killed' and sent back to the ether from whence it came.

Disagree, We arent playing Wow or something similar to that. Rides arent that hard to come by. just buy them
