Hey, I was wondering, how would you use the tree binding.. like when its ready.. how would i use the portal?

I don't really want to comment to much until i have had a chance to try them out but at first glance it kind of seems like wood elves got the shaft compared to ice elves. I mean ice elves can poof instantly away from harm and wood elves can build a portal that will work a day later? And where does this portal go? Like i could see if it went to serpents hold or something since we can no longer get donator status.

After testing them, almost all the abilities seem to revolve around binding animals which a) doesn't work and b) is what i trained taming for.

and it dont work for me either :(

but you choose where the portal goes to,, its nice actually.

if you dunno how to find a place again, just mark a tree, go home mark a tree next to a house or something..

Surely binding works perfectly and has no problems, because there are no bug reports in bugs/suggestions about it. So i don't know what you're exactly on about.

That being said, the wood elf pathway, as mentioned earlier, both entrance and exits can be controlled, so it is much more versatile than the ice elf teleport, but a lot more vulnerable as well.

You cannot bind something you aren't the master of, so i don't see the comparison to taming. Likewise having a pet that cannot permanently die is very appealing to some people. As does the woodland shape.

As i said, each race fills a different playstyle, so not all races will be for everyone.

And as with every race, it'll be adjusted over the upcomming week or two as things are discovered.

so I'm a bit behind the times as anyone on last night can attest to. tried out the new wood elf skills last night....and i was curious why we got rid of the old ones. i understand that some of the race stones were kinda buggy and such but I for one really like the *nature heals you* ability its rather nice when someone walls you in a cave where low and behold there are no trees. as was the *find food* ability then you didn't have to pack food everywhere. crafting takes energy which means food. The bind tree thing is great curious as to why it takes a whole day though? and the animal thing is rather cool as well but unless i can have a pack horse friend it doesn't benefit me a whole lot.

Nature healing you is replaced w/ attunement, which is passive healing, that also does not well around a ton of death. So just changed how it worked, not what it did. Stay around nature and you'll be fine.

Packhorses i can't let people bind, because that creates unlootable storage. Would be way too easy to abuse.

Heck i'm still mxied on bringing packhorses back into the game, but i'm considering it
