just like with mining/lumberjacking when you use them the ore/lumber goes into your pack, can fishers get something like that aswell? or ONLY FFF and stat fish automatically go into your pack and normal fish/small fish/oysters stay on the ground.

only ff and stat fish stay in ur pack wont happen to macro friendly that way. i am sure it could be all items go into ur pack but keeping that organized is way harder than pickin stat fish off the ground.

If we were to implement such a thing for fishers, it would be an all-or-nothing situation, just like mining or lumberjacking. And i'm not so sure fishers would appreciate it, since fish weigh quite a bit. This was talked about twice, a few years ago and a year or two before that.
But lets hear it fishers.
Would you prefer all fish going into your pack or the current system?

NPCs haven't been taking fff in the new system. I haven't caught stat fish around them yet that I haven't picked up right away. I'll test that later.
If they aren't taking anymore, my vote would be to let them drop.

My opinion is kinda the same. If npc's don't snag your fish & stuff now i'm more than happy for them to be dropped on the ground still. Although, placing them in the pack would be very convenient

Yeah, I'd have to say my only observation is that it would be easier to view fish as they come in and, also, wouldn't similar fish auto-stack?
Plus, I know there are more than a few places where fish can't be seen when they fall to the ground. When that happens you have to back off a bit and click and hunt for your catch.
You know, the more I think about it, the more I think I like it.
That's it for now...

pack, its easier to toss the 4 stacks of big fish you don't want then to pick up all the small fish you do want

i prefer the old way as it contribute with the "level of difficulty" to gm fishing. As fishing is one of the more payed of trades it should be one of the harder skills to train imo.

Those darn crazy GM fishers! Yeah, I'd have to say that I damn near went insane while working totally on my fishing skill.
Speaking of payment, has anyone started selling any of the new stat/fff fish yet?
Maybe an intrepid fisherman/accountant could post a listing of the new fish and their going prices in the buying and selling forum. I wouldn't be fit for the job since I don't know jack about the current economy. That and I did once put a llama on one of my vendors for 10k. Got a few good laughs over that one. Heh.

umm well i had str fish but i cant get rid of it so ya no one makes money, thus we don't make money fishers strive more when newer players that have to work on there chars come threw, and they are obviously extinct at the moment so ya, and the vets that would buy fish are more reluctant to spend there money when they aren't making the money them selves. so ya
i feel sorry for the noobs tbh with harder gains, then they already were shit nah i wouldn't even attempt to gm fishing, its already to hard to specially it's not like BSing where u can make money no matter the economic situation

Dude! You almost made me cry with that post! Heh, heh.
Seriously, though, hang in there little brother. Stop by the Steel Fish sometime and I'll hand you a pre-patch ale. Hopefully THAT still works!
Yeah, the economy is in the pooper right now. Maybe I should be posting this in the buying and selling forum but, like I said, we need an intrepid player out there who is big into selling stuff to whip up a list of things and their going rates.
At any rate, maybe you could be my guinea pig for testing out pre-patch items. Ha! j/k...
