I found my old Digital Camera that I thought I lost for good. I figured I'd give it a try by sharing my hobby with you guys. Some of you know that I have a fish tank, and that I spend a lot of time on it. I just redid a lot of it over the last few days, and I thought it would be a nice way to test my camera and share a bit about myself with the community.

Some of it looks a bit empty right now. I just planted some new stuff and trans-planted some older stuff. It will take a few weeks for it to all grow in nicely. I'll post a few more pics later.

This first one was taken with the ambient lights on. It's a bit dark, but that’s to spare my electric bill. 120 LED lights are all I use to light my tank when the grow lights are not on.



The next picture was taken with my full lights on. This is 800 Watts of Metal Halide lighting. When this is running, my electric meter zooms past like a dam jet engine. It took a while messing with the settings on my camera to get this to come out ok.

Azi, first pic, whats the fish on the left (the far left)? looks a little like a pumpkinseed but that might just be the light..

Are those rams i see in the first pick?You have some nice looking angels there too.I am a big into fish myself but not much atm just a cpl oscars and a odd catfish fot the moment but i have an 80 gal. hex i need to reseal and get set for discus again.Also need to set the 55 back up for these oscars there getting bigger and running outts room soon in a 29 gal.There also some eating machines 2 doz goldfish gone in one night...lol.

nice tank, it would look really cool if it was lit with a darkish blue light (not tons of light but dark and spread out blue lights)
in the dark it would look awsome , or green lights

and personally i like the first pic with the lights off

It's a 110 Gallon tall tank with an overflow, automated PH control, pressurized Co2 with a control solenoid, a heated canister filter, and an automatic 25 gallon a day water change at a 3 to 1 ration of RO water to Tap water.

You can't really get the full effect of the LCD lights from the pictures. It looks a lot like moonlight with only some of the areas glowing dimly and the plants casting shadows over a lot of the tank. The bright lights are just insane. It's not fun to look at with the bright lights on, but I need them for the plants to grow. I made the tank around the plants, and then added plant friendly fish.

The fish I have now are kind of new. I had a bit of a disaster a few weeks back. Do you see that yellow thing hanging on the back right of my tank? That’s a Co2 probe. When my tank needs Co2, it turns on a solenoid connected to a 10lb pressurized Co2 tank....anyway, that probe broke and injected mass amounts of Co2 into my water killing my 3 discus, my first batch of rams, and my 3 Siamese algae eaters. Some fish survived (like the Cardinals), but I had to start the fish growing over again. The fish I have now are 5 wild caught angles, 7 German blue rams, 9 cardinals (soon to be 21, but my local fish store was out of them), 2 Albino bristle nose pleacos, 4 amino shrimp, 4 ottos, 1 yoyo loach, and a ton a small red breeding cherry shrimp. The rams love to eat the cherry shrimp, so I don't know how much longer I will have them around.

I’ve spent more time and money on that tank then I car to admit to. In the next few weeks I’ll be making a new canopy for it. One that matches the rest of my living room, and can properly house my lights with fans and timers built into it. I’ll post some more pics of it as it grows and develops.
