The world of Obsidian had to be rolled back to 06/22/05 7:57PM PST. We very rarely do this because we understand how much time our players put into training their characters. This was unavoidable as a bug was discovered and abused by certain players, causing dozens of homes to be accessed and looted. We sincerely apologize to the players for this, but know the abusers have been banned.

BB did what was neccessary to repair the damage caused by a serious bug and fix problems for the greater majority of players. It is unfortunate but nevertheless inevitable that some of you may have been inconvenienced by this.

heres relevancey. any other bugs that can do somthing like this are now first priority right...?

Of course. What you seem to be missing is that the bug had to have been a recognised problem before it could be fixed, naturally. As it stands, we are very fortunate that BB fixed this on the same day that most of the player houses were looted.

Fact of the matter is that by the time we found out there was a problem it was already too late and the asshole(s) that had been doing it had already raped half of obsidian. Once BB was notified of the issue he shut down the server and decided a rollback would be best 20 hours or so which is when he last screwed with poisoning which created the bug that caused this. Noted he did all this in the middle of his work day. So don't make it sound like we sat on our asses and "let" this happen.

ok that explains things alot more . thank you. my whole premise was it was a known thing to yall. i just didnt think a player could find somthin like that before staff. so i apologize about that part. i knew that link thing was no good as soon as i saw it.

for those who abused the bug, as i learn each and every person who did i will continue to make your name look like shit as much as possible,

and to whichever one of you totally raped me and my friends house,

(and the rollback didnt help cause mine was ages ago, had no idea wtf was going on.)

The now reluctant newbie that lost a LOT of stats...

once a year some years, others 2 or 3 times. Just depends on major bug break outs (this is excluding when the server crashes and you lose 30 minutes through an hour, which is rare also)

we used to have one every week or so when alot of stuff was gettin done back in the day, theyve only been near this big of one once i can remember though. they are usually just to the last world save or before a crash or somthing.

i jus came back and once i saw this thread i went to my, i lost br ringmail gloves and 500 of each reg, will this b replaced cuz that is bs right there
