Resist has always been a very hard skill to train. The reasoning behind this was always the capacity for macroing it or training it via the use of line of sight exploits (through floors in a house anyone?)

However, it's important that it's still a credible skill to train legitimately.

Maybe it would help to know exactly what benefits are gained from resist (in the current development state) from going 90-GM?

It may well be that the benefits are not significant enough to warrant all the hard work - much in the same way that grinding certain skills at a very high level in most MMOs is a chore for only the most determined.

I think I only ever got to between 98% and 99% on my warrior. And that was after hours, and hours, and HOURS of PvE over several years. I was also the most active warrior PvPer vs mages for some time, and yet I never quite hit GM.

I'm completly fine with it being hard to gain to a point but when you hunt nothing but casters to try and raise it a little and after days of doing it and seeing it not gain it is a bit disheartening. I hope the tweaks will make it a little better. Thanks Bob.

In response to bob tweaking things, i have had at least 1 gain on 3 of my chars. Not saying it's a lot, but it is a lot compared to nothing at all for the past few months.

i gained 2 resist points in like 10 min yesterday
