Damn it has been kind of boring after i got blue. At least when i was red we had fun killing ppl at bridge. Now days i dont see any red killing plus the few guilds we have in obs dont even fight each other. Evryone knows each other and stuff. In conclusion, a shard gets kind of boring after all ppl do is just banksit, do some hunting or mine or fish almost the whole day. Where is the fun, we need fights damn itttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just another thing that came to my mind. Maybe this is happening cause obs population has an average of 40 ppl most of the time. Obs is like a small town, evryone knows and loves each other and that might be a cause why we dont have a good pvp system in my opinion. I guess to have big fights we need much more people playing. But what else can i say. I cant do much to get more people playing.
I'm not talking crap about the shard, i love this shard tho. I feel sometimes i have to post what i think and feel.

ye i can see ur point. im not a pvp'er to start with but, i think some of the rules that have been implemented have a lot to do with it.

I think the stupid kill system has a lot to do with it, order/chaos fights would br more prevelant if u didnt get kills killing opposing members. It would also be cool if u didnt get kills by killing ur own guild cos its nice to train pvp without fear of being red.

i might just attack them but well i still weak and the player of today wont fight 1 vs 1 if they know they might be lose or just have hard time

I agree about the killing system, they should change it. I think to make things more interesting and to have more rivalry, they should allow to loot oppossite guild members in town also.


LETS see if we get any reply from staff and see what they think and if they plan to do something about this, cause we can talk a lot here and say what is good or wrong for the shard but they have the last word. I hope see some staff reply, mainly from BB, Cybervic, Jorus etc..

This has been the talk of the players for months now and from what I heard, it'd be fixed in the patch we almost got a few months back...

The problem with looting in town is that town is a safe-haven ... most of the time, people come to town to show off thier best weaps, exchange a few laughs, etc. You might be bringing something to the bank to sell or what not. If you are allowed to look anyone, even if it is the other guild allignment, the banks will turn into chaos zones (not chaos allignment). Personally, I think it is not smart, but a lot of craftsmen have guild allignments that are not neutral. If they are carring ex. a new rose heater on them trying to sell it, they will get killed, looted, and lose everything. This would not be fair to the intention of the towns.

Also, I think that killing someone within your guild should be legal. You should not be given a kill for it. If you are allowed to attack them, than why not kill? That has always been my philosophy.

There is a fine line between joking around and trying to kill someone. You might be joking to catch them off guard etc, but guild vs. guild warfare is tough. If you get killed, you can count on everyone from you guild coming to help you out and kill the person who killed you.

It should be legal to kill someone in your own guild, but not necesesarily someone from a different guild with the same allignment. If that is possible, I think that would be best. Guilds are meant to be little communities of friends to help each other get better. If you can learn how to prevent dying with your friends, you can learn to prevent dying all together, but without dying, you don't know how not to.

I would also love to have some staff involved here. Maybe with their new house starting tomorrow, we will get some more responces. There should really be more active staff either taking feedback or telling us why our ideas won't work. Right now i think i am just preaching to the rest of us who have similar (not the same), but similar views.

BTW ... I do have craftsmen in an order alligned guild, but I know it is not smart. I am in the process of trying to have it changed to neutral.

If you don't wanna risk getting hit by other chaos or order members, don't be in a chaos/order aligned guild...Aside from that I agree with you...

But being Order or Chaos is, to me, a choice, not to be made lightly and not without consequences...Back when n00bs Inc. surfaced, I turned us chaos aligned immediatly, as that was my alignment of choice...The result was, that we entered town and got splattered all over most of Vesper by some Vet Chaos members...They were basically just setting the ranking order for them and us, but being chaos or order should be given thought and not just chosen because 'hey, it sounds cool..!'

1-I think if you want to show off your best stuff, just dont join any order or chaos guild so you dont need to worry about getting looted. Chaos and Order are two opposite guild, which were made to create rivalry between two groups of players. What is excatly happening in obs is that besides u get kill counts for killing guild members, i personally have killed oppsite guild members to my guild and what happens after this? You get bored of killing someone that will get ressed by his friend over and over.
What happens when u are killed and looted? If you die and get looted; i'm almost 100 percent sure you want revenge and you go and get new stuff or tell your friends to help you fight either one guy or the gankers. This will create a good and excited fight and there it is when u have fun because you know you are fighting with motivation of either kill your opponent or lose your stuff.
Another thing I see here is that most people are scared of losing their stuff. Why? oh because they got it from a hard monster and what they do is they just banksit and show it off and just dont hunt again until the following year.
Common guys think about this; orders and chaoses fights can make this shard a lot more funny, you just havent had yet the experience of getting looted in town and going back for revenge. I garentee is going to be a lot more funny that way.
2-I dont see why crafters should join or be part of any order/chaos guild. Just make a neutral guild and u wont be afraid of getting looted in town.

Yeah more oportunities for fighting and looting would stimulate more ppl to come and play on obsdian. 75 percent of uo is the fighting experience it gives *sorry craftman*... so u know what im saying.. make it so that u can loot in town. People love the risk of having to hide and be careful with every step they take. Thats what makes the game fun, and make it so that guards dont insta kill, that they they around 33 percent of ur health with each hit, and that they run like normal people. That would be great, as reds would venture into town to prove how tough they are, but there will always be a couple of blues that will show the red whats up. so peace out. If fighting conditions are improved i might even come back to play on the shard, cuz there might be many gala wannabe's but none of em r quite like me.

Also if you get looted and they take away ur pimped out ride .. or ur hardcore armor. Then its on... all you gotta do is go and fight whoever took ur shit. If you aint got the balls to defend what ur wearing the you shouldnt have the thing in the first place.
