Since it doesnt seem like armor drops are going to go away, i have a suggestion to make them more bearable.
Make it so that lower-end drops dont set your luck to 0, say a low end armor drop would take -20 or 30 off your luck, higher end could be like 50.
Could work for weapons too? Ruin would take like 30 off, might 50, force 70+ and power-vanq all of it.

This is getting ridiculous. More than a few times have i had my luck over 100, and gotten a ruin weapon or a defense piece of armor. Tho i had killed many things with my luck over 100 that could potentially drop force or power and even vanq, i just received more luck. I understand that staff work very hard on this game, and i do appreciate it, if i didnt, i prolly would not be on as much as i am.

I just got a drop off a water elemental with a 144 luck. It was a gorget of defense. I can prolly speak for a lot of people when i say that is very frustrating. Kill lots of stuff that just doesn't stand there and let you kill it, work very long (not like its hard) to build up luck, and then to get a drop like that, well, just plain pisses me off. Why didn't i get a drop off the golem i killed right before that with such a high luck. For cryin out loud, i can get that kind of drop off a skeley in the graveyard with an 11 luck. So please, can we have drops that reflect luck, or if drop is might or ruin, maybe just a % of luck. Considering an 11 will get you a gorget of defense, and my luck was more than 12 times that, and thats what i got:(.

Please consider this gms. I know i am not the only one frustrated by this system.

have had my luck around 200 before and killed a mongbat right after i killed somethin else since it was hitting me i hit back 1 hit got a chain tunic of defense.. i think it keeps people from farming drops is why it is the way it is. like you said its not hard to build up luck so if it only took a % you could just sit in a graveyard for 300 kills or so then go kill a golem or a dungeon boss and get a good drop.

Does that not frustrate you, to kill several monsters with over 100 luck that drop force or hardening or whatever it is, and then kill a water elemental, or skele, to have it erased? I haven't had anything better than a force drop in 2 months. but have gotten drops of ruin with an 11 luck, and 111 luck, after just having killed more than one boss that supposedly drops vanq. Yes vanq weapons should be hard to come by, but not next to impossible.

it sucks yes im not saying it doesnt but its what ever i guess, im guessing its this way since bb didnt like people just weapon farming and now that bob is scripting he probably told him to make it so people cant. that is my guess. and having over 100 luck and not getting a drop is pretty common i normally get them around 70 but i have gotten well over 100 with no drop plenty of times. i also have been screwed out of power and vanq drops because i have gotten 2 or 3 bags.
