Actually races were much more balanced before than they are now. The only problem, which i never saw as a problem, was that certain races were better for certain things. Vamps made the best warriors and elf races were better suited for crafters. And if it was not meant to be that way then why did they have certain places just for wood elf blacksmiths and ice elf fisherman?

I would have to agree there was certainly alot less complaining.... however was there a reason to pick a human character?

what nightmare just said..
humans had two pvp builds.. vamps had one.. lol..
I could be wrong here but.. if im not mistaken i also think at one point in time humans were the only race you could start with 50 in 2 skills..
also in the old system races were capped on things like they are now.. for example.. human warrior was capped in magery.. racial battle mages were capped also in either healing or magery i cant remember maybe both.. also i think they may have been capped in weps as well.. i cant remember
so yea.. mages and tanks were a reason to be human as well as be a crafter... i think that was plenty of reason to go human.. if u ask me
the shard has went down hill in terms of pvp as it has required more skills for your involvement in it.. (ex. poisoning, animal lore, ect) and when dex was implemented into healing.. which makes a very unstable system.. it creates problems like you have now with warriors being able to stand and outheal a mage..
healing was better when it took one bandage and worked on the same delay regardless of dex
mages worked better when they were fast as shit.. and still were not effected by the dex healing.. this gave mages a bit of an advantage.. but.. i still found it a better system.. pvp was more action packed.. fast paced..
also.. reactives role in pvp regarding archery and making a warrior switch between bow and melee was a good asset to pvp..
if you look at how dramatic things have changed... its very clear what is needed.. i have no problem with change.. but like i have said.. you cant expect to hold on to the old system and re-innovate it at the same time.. humans must be altered as well beings how much everything else has.. or races are going to have to go somewhat back to how they were before..
the new class system can be made to work but some ppl have to get out of denial..

I thought race mages were not the optimal choice because they couldnt wear myth plate...which is why pvp mages were basically human.

yes ur correct.. i was speaking of the battle mage/war mage (racial tank) i cant remember what it was called but its no longer present.. like rouges..
Solitude was my pvm/pvp mage that was a warlock.. basicly she was a non-parry demon polly that had poisoning for pvp.. she could do either.. but on pvp wasnt as effective as a human.. (becaues of the Armor)
the question is.. what has been changed to give u a reason to not pick a human? lol.. I had to even make my pvm mage a human because of all these changes...

there is currently a thread about mages and war mages. currently all classes can wear myth. the problem as stated in the other thread with raced mage classes is the low healing.

i was referring to my char build in t3a.. dipshit.. we were speaking of how racial mages were "IN" t3a :/ i am aware that all classes can wear myth plate.. the reason i changed my pvm to human was because of the healing...
but regardless im glad u enjoy following up my posts with your needless bullshit... it turns me on..

sorry i dont really understand your post.. i think you have misunderstood the intention of this thread.. there is nothing about it saying anything about removing humans handicaps... lol.. humans are not handicaped.. :/
any previous preconceptions regarding humans in comparison to other races is thrown out by the implementation of the class system...
human w/ vet reward vs. race w/ class penalties = bad news..
i suggest you go back and read further..
the point is not just to give humans a higher skill cap... it is to mainly make them follow the "Class" guideline that all other races have to follow
