bears need to have there str adjusted.

Many of you complain about bears being used. Please use this thread for your ideas.

As a Ranger/Tamer bears are meant to be used. To be a successful tamer you need to sink 200skill points into it.
Warriors use shrinks
Mages/Tanks use summoned/shrinks

Should the time be adjusted on shrinks depending on class (humans skill level)? Should there be a timer for casting summoned animals? It may be possible to make it so when a shrink is used it checks users skill/class and adjusts the bears stats.

that sounds good, and would make it so you would have to drop some skill poitns for such a powerfull feature...

but on the flip side, without the bears mages would stand waaay out of balance vrs warroirs...

I thought it wsa supposed to be mages own warriors warriors own necros. tanks are balanced with them all but slightly stronger vrs rangers, and rangers are balanced with them all but slightly stronger vrs mages /own necros lol


so with this change i would say mages need to get balanced into the system...
if warriors are were there supposed to be right now...
even tho imo, its the warriors who need to change.. because everyone else is lacking, while there 'where there supposed to be' but if u move them a bit back, everyone else is now kinda moved up in a way.. then there all even :/

-remove the ability to shrink anything except rides
-lower dmg done by bears in general..
-i dont like how animal lore is implemented... i understand why.. and without it it would only be worse but its mere presence only ensures that there is a reason for the skill hence u will see a problem with summons/shrinks..
wahhh its stupid and i dont like it.. lol

umm but yea.. i know currently shrinks are a bit of a rarirty without a source of dead wood but umm yea.. i don't think you should be able to shrink anything except rides... this would go a long way to balance pvp.. it would cause any non magic user to not even bother with animal lore or shrunken animals in combat.. as for summons.. i think with the timer between casts you can create a balance..

summons only last for so long.. and the timer can be adjusted to where it is only possible control so many at once..

So what about a battle tamer who wants to summon bears? you want him not to be able to summon through shrinks?

changing shrinks to make it more inaccessible would do nothign to pvp, and warriors dont use bears currently if you didnt know, because when u get hit, you cant unshrink a bear for like 2 mins or something.

also removing the ability to shirnk bears would do nothing, because as i just said, shrinks aren't used anyway...

f*** that they arent and if they werent used like you said, eventually they would be. I really like the idea of making bears unshrinkable (snakes too). This would give an advantage to mages which is needed aswell as give woodelves more of a pvp use.

Good idea adam, hope its implemented

can i hear your logic behind that?

um, i dunno if you know this or not, but warriors cant use them, unless there fighting someone who wont attack back..
so changing that wouldnt be to for people who are against bears...

yeah , you cant unshrink anything if you get hit within 8 seconds. and you have a timer already, unless you are gm lore and taming, and then you still have a 3 sec timer for shrinks. and casting them is better but you can get fizzled or dispelled. its very hard to get shrinks out in fights now..ive treid many times , sometimes it takes me like 5 min to get first bear out..and that is at gm lore and gm taming. its quite balanced unless(like chips said)noone is hitting you.

yea i dont like the idea of making everything unshrinkable...thats way out of the question in fact i think Tamers should be able to tame more stuff.

i didnt know there was a timer on shrinks for when you get hit..
still tho.. from what you are saying. it doesnt stop someone from using the shrunken animals before they get hit..
but yea i didn't know about that as i have not used a shrunken anything since my return.. i think i unshrunk a few stangs that were given to me.. and that went rather smoothly so id assume dropping a bear rite before your fight would be likewise..

and when you mean hit.. do u mean melee, spell, or both?
does it work that way if say i casted energy bolt on u.. u wouldn't be able to use a shrunk animal.. or would i physically have to hit you?

yes you can unshrink them before a fight but that would take so much time you need to gm lore n taming to have less of a delay I think the delay is 2 minutes or more.... normally. Not to sure about the exact delay though.

Please remove the delay when you get hit. Or make it less. Also, if not already, make it so that when a mage is invisible and casts the summon spell, it reveals them.

Well seeing how i think the whole tamer/fighter thing is gay, and the idea of using animals for pvp sucks as well, I would like to see your ability to control animals lowered depending on fighting skills. For example if you have for every 20+ swords you could have a greater chance that the animal will turn on you, same for magery or any other fighter skill. Then mage vs warrior would have to be truly balanced instead of oh if a mage has 3 bears he can beat a fencer with iron plate and a pitchfork of might. A slight exageration but it gets the point across.
