I understand the concept and enjoy alot of the new crafting system but I am going to propose a reason for why I feel you should be able to smelt down items back into ingots...

From my time back I have used ppl's houses since I do not have my own and have seen where smiths have been training the same thing everywhere I go... a floor full of bags.. that are full and not even able to be moved.. of items that were crafted while training

the reason ppl just put the stuff in the bags and leave it is because its to much of a hastle to sell the items..
when u goto your local blacksmith and try to sell 100 helmets or shields or ect.. u have to manually click each one... thats 100 double clicks and scrolls threw teh vendor list lol.... very tiresome and no one wants the tad bit of gold that is the end result.. so they just leave them in a pile of bags that just trash up the shard... and create more objects here which justs slows the shard down...

to correct this problem you could go about it in 2 ways..

you could again alow the items to be smelted back into ingots.. i believe when this was able to be done the end result was u got half the ingots back as it took to craft the items.. this to me was not really that big of a deal.. it actually made it so u smithing and mineing stayed close together on the training path.. and ud have them both gm'ed at teh same time

or u could make it so vendors when asked to be sold items like say 100 plate chest pieces.. woudl all have them listed in similar catagories..

say u had 75 that were master quality and 25 that were expert quality..
this vendor would only have 2 things listed in the sell option.. and you would be able to select the quantity of both...
this would allow the smiths to sell their goods reasonably
otherwise u are going to see piles of shit acumulate everwhere.. because everyone that trains will just leave teh items instead of actually use them.. and since most miners smiths will have houses next to a mine.. these items will take a permennt spot in filled bags (250 max items each) laying on the floor of the house.. and never able to be moved.. not even by a polly mage because of weight

u can imagine it now..

.help " yes gm.. will you come and delete these bags in my floor they are to heavy to be moved"

either solution would work.. a fix to the vendors.. or the ability to turn items back into ingots at a 50% back yeild..

id think the secodn woudl be the easier fix.. and also since mineing has been slowed significantly.. ithink this would be the better solution... but i do present 2 options..

why not iron too?
iron is my main concern.. you wouldnt see this unless u tried to make a new smith on the new system..

the iron produced objects taht are not smelt-able are the reason for bags being maxed out with items (250) and just sitting there at a house.. try making 1000 of anything iron and taking it 2 the blacksmith to sell it... its such a hassle.. click click click scroll... click click click scroll... over and over.. thats why i suggest the vendors start considering itemes that are the same in the same category so u can select quantity when selling.. or allow smelting down of the items.. u wont see this now because everyone here is not really making new crafters left and right.. most already have them. but if u were to get alot of new players this would be a problem u would see.
i personally after coming back to see my GM smith has somehow been dropped to 90 have been crafting shit for skill gains... and i have already littered Aimmes house with bags full of things... I have tried selling them.. the weight to time to money yield ratio is just a pain in the ass tho.. but yea basically what you end up with is unmovable bags of shit u made laying on the floor
