I have been trying to wrap up mining on an old char. of mine and have noticed something really annoying.. u will alot of times hit a spot where it will say "you loosen rocks... fail to find usable ore...." I find that the fails come at an unbelievable rate.. i have sat and literally watched my char. try to mine one spot for about 3 whole min before success..

I think the fail rate on mineing needs to be looked at.. its been dramaticly slowed down since T3A and takes forever to mine now..
id also suggest that once GM you mine all ore on one tile in one try.. instead of 2-3... this would help out alot.. there is no reason to have it be so time consuming..

there were so many fails... i couldn't capture them on the full length of my screen.. so i had to take 2 screen shoots and scroll down...
is this many fails really necessary..

and btw fully fed... and all that.. with new pick axe.. not that either prolly mater.. maybe hunger

I totally agree..you shouldnt fail at all when gm mining...its just annoying and makes it more time consuming.

well im not gm.. but.. i am in the 80's...
id say that 17 fails in a row is a bit much for that high of mining skill

the new mining system is slow as hell and fails are just insane..

if u consider the time spent on those 17 fails in comparison to what was achieved.. wat like 3 ore? lol.. u got to be f***** kidding me.. lol

I seem to be having the same problem Count.

Currently I am 73 fishing and I get more "you don't seem to catch anything" messages a lot more often then when I first started out, which doesn't make sense if you ask me.

I haven't trained mining yet, but the same message error is occurring for me as well :(

I was acually going to suggest yesterday that when mining/fishing/lumberjacking at gm you should get everything in one attempt. I the time u spend gming a skill I think this would be a nice bonus.

I have to agree I am GM mining and have experienced the same problem where I got up and used the restroom after like 3 fails and my char was still mining same spot when I got back....mining all in one go would be a great benefit to being GM resource gatherer (whatever skill it might be) since I believe currently you dont get anything special for being GM (Blood is 99.1 isn't it?) but yeah it would be nice if it failed less especially at GM

I also noticed that I failed to catch a fish 20+ times in a row before I caught a fish.
