Router Lag - Existant
Network Lag - Minimal
HAHA! I got the server up 20 minutes earlier then I promised. Talk about good!
The topic says it all. I know we've only been down for 18 hours and it probably seems like ages to everyone including me but Obsidian is back!
Before I get into this I want to make a shout out to everyone who came though and helped with donations. It's you guys who made this upgrade possible! I will be working on processing your donations and getting you donator perks soon, but I'm currently backlogged 24-48 hours thanks to the server going down as hard as it did.
Now for the fun part! Obsidian is up and running on the spanking new server and you guys should immediately see an increase in performance! There are still a few more upgrades we need to make before you'll see the full impact such as the router, network infrastructure and a few more hardware upgrades and performance tweaks on the server. Hopefully things will be running flawlessly and better then ever shortly, but as for now this server is a workhorse and should beable to handle whatever you can throw at it.
New Server Specs:
Processor: Pentium 4 Class 3.0ghz
Memory: 512mb DDR (Going to upgrade to 1gb soon)
Harddrive: 10,000 RPM - ATA133 - 20gb
Old Server Specs:
Processor: Celeron Class 1.7ghz
Memory: 512mb SDRAM
Harddrive: 5,400 RPM - ATA100 - 60gb
The harddrive is smaller however more then twice as fast meaning worldsaves should be even quicker!
Anyways I've been spending 2 hours at work finishing this up to get the server back online as promised so I need to go! I hope everyone enjoys!

Gonna need that router first. The old one i'm using as a backup has a hard time routing 100+ connections constantly.
