Spirit speak has said to of been made easyer to gain, but i have not yet gained anything since the update. Could you recheck this because it does not seem right.

That's because you sit and macro, and as of a patch months ago(use search in changelog), sitting and macroing gets reduced gains.
Go use skills and play, it'll go up faster.
