Ok. So I wanted to steal Llama's horse from the RC... Herded it away and it keeps poofing back to RC...
WTF is that?

My guess is that when a tamer says "all stay" it sets the pets home to that location. So everytime it gets x amount of tiles away from it's home it's poofed back.
Like he said in the changelog about spawns, he made it so animals won't roam from vesper to britain, or cove to minoc, etc.
But, my luck I'm probably totally wrong and it's something totally different.

No I think your right Spawn. Even Duck had the same problem when he tried to herd the animals
from the RC a couple days/week previously.
They just seemed to poof back to the same place. Only thing is that they were moving and not in
one place, so maybe the All Stay command is not what actually triggers it.

Well, he may have typed all stay at one point and set the tag, then at some other point in time he said all come or what not, and they were un-frozen from that position, still keeping the location tag, but not being frozen.

That or I believe a staff member might have moved them because at one moment they were
all placed against the wall neatly, and then moved in one pile at the middle of the RC.
But probably the tag still applied even when they were poofed in one group.
Or could it be that the RC only allows the animals to be moved safely if the tamer that own them
himself moves them. If anyone else tries to it goes back to prevent someone from stealing?
Just thought about that also

That's lame... Cause I can actually kill it... But, I'd rather steal it.

Which is why I still think that this is like a prevention from people stealing.....for once I think I
am actually sort of right on this topic.
Hopefully Bob doesn't post giving out the real reason because that would prove that I am not right

Yeah, I tried stealing it too and it would poof back. If saying "all stay" is why its poofing back I dont think that should happen.

I have found this with grizzlies recently as well. If you tame it in a certain spot and then try to make it follow you it will eventually poof back to the original location. It is a bit stupid if you ask me. How are you supposed to clear a spawn with your tamer if grizzlies can only folllow you so far?

Bind them using your .raceskill. I use this when I am taming also, but can only do this with a
black bear because I cannot tame grizzlies at this taming skill level
