well yesterday i discussed this with a few ppl and i over heard that the new poly
system has changed. i also heard that daemons no longer are reached at 85 magery
but at 95.

if this is true, then can you, Bob, possibly send us info on the polymorph system
and at what magery is transformed into what.

if this was discussed in another topic, can someone simply send the link.

and if nothing has changed can you still tell me and others Bob?

yes, i have heard about the change from 85 to 95 magery,
this was most likely intentional, doesn't mean that I agree with it
but according to bob "you'll understand the changes when later patches come out"

personally i dont mind if all it did was go up 5.0-10.0
might be a lot more work, but im actually starting to play the game more

well in that case if the change was intentional from 85 to 95 i think the poly daemon need a better stat in the dex department

It makes more sense that it be 95 tbh, being the last creature you can poly into & being so strong too :)

IT was originally a bug at 85%. Whent he bug was fixed in the upgrade, it went up to what it was supposed to be at 95%.
And yes polymorphs are getting revamped. just chillax. No daemons are not getting 110 dex. They're big fat slow things.
I might go ahead and do polymorphs tonight.

well i will tell you right now with no dex you are going to have something major to compensate otherwise pvm's will suck more than they do now.

i'm ok with that. They've been a tad overpowered for ages due to some unique math problems the polymorph allows character to min-max on.
Also if you want that high dex, buff yourself.

I never did understand why when someone takes the time to design and to train a char for a specific perpose they call it overpowered. Poisoning took a lot of time and resources to train and because it did a lot of damage it was overpowered. When people took the time to train a perfect pvm machine it is called overpowered. With all the changes it is only going to be a matter of time b4 someone comes up with a new design giving him an advantage and will that be considered overpowered as well?

demons look pretty in shape and fast to me... (responding to bobs other post)
has nothing to do with balance, but just a note.. they don't look to outta shape or fat....
i think my version of fat and others is different lol...

true belg, specially in this case. PvMs are really what balance the shards economy imo - dull them... prices go down... up them.. prices go up... which means w,e the outcome are Pvms really ever over powered?
because there the people who bring the money into the shard initially .

yeah i totally agree with belgarion on that. These characters are specifically designed for hunting. It's absolutely useless PvPing with a PvM skillset, so how is that overpowered? If you're designing a character for such a specific purpose, it makes sense that they have an advantage over character builds who are not designed for that scheme. Leaving it as it was perfectly fair. It's not like you were unstoppable anyway, and if someone wanted to PK you or something they had a good chance at doing it. I really dont see why deamon poly has to be nerfed because of the fact that people started building characters that would take advantage of how a deamon would be effective during PvM.

Being pked was the main downfall of the pvm build for sure. If a mage came to pk you he would just dispell you and that was all. That was what made them balanced they were excellent for fighting monsters but for pvp they were weak.

I say ok, they might have theyr dex tweaked but hey! We can always use pots and buffs...thing is, is it gonna be a waste of resources having a pvm mage now? or not?

I made a pvm mage for a couple of purposes, money and weps...but now u seem to get more cash by killing weak things, and since the weps drops are just randomize, u don't really need a pvm mage to kill Ettin Lords, Ogre Lords, Dragons, Bosses, and other monsters like those, cause their loot is too weak compared to the effort you take killing them...

Also, can be there a review of dungeons?

I think anyone remembers that going to Covetous ment hunting weapons, but all I see now TOO MANY randomize spawns (Not many giants as ettins, ogres, titans ecc...)

Also Destard was ment for money and sometimes weps, but the cash is pretty low...so maybe make the drakes weaker? dunno...

Shame had those pretty Golems and stuff...but as you can see, 1st level elementals drop too much crap, as for the spiders, they don't even drop spider silk now, but they can do webs?

Deceit has those wonderfull dungeon bosses and some cool monsters, but the flag doesnt seem to work...I don't wanna spend an hour trying to kill a monster that drops 1k when in 1 hour I can kill other 100 that drop 100gp each...

Then we had Despise, for diff type of loot, and once u cud find some bosses there too, dunno now tho..gotta take a look..

Then Wrong with diff type of good loots and the Shapeshifter!

And last but not least Hythlot...which had tons of drops with balrogs and such, they were hella hard to take down but it was 100% worth the effort, and u cudn't hunt them completely alone..but now? nobody seems to bother to go there...

Also, what about Order and Chaos guards? what happened to the island spawn?
