 Post subject: DEX CAP !!!

DEX cap on Weapon attake speed is 100.... that sux it should be 120 , 140 or 160 !!

so im guessing there is no reason to go over 100 dex except for healing.....or just having it?

no actually you going above it still works. its like it was in the old system of t3a....so it would
be like making a warrior with 140 str 140 dex...id say its worth it to go over 100 dex still 8)

explanation plox? im a fencer so i rely on speed because my dmg is garbage.....if my speed is capped all thats left to have dex for is healing.

healing is the reason for high dex
as i knew it's the sole reason for high dex

see even a 2 second shave off ur heal timer is great
because that means compared to if u have 6 second healing delay

every 4 times that person at 6 can heal 28 secs
the person with - 2 secs (4 secs total) can heal 7 times in the same allotted 28 seconds

this -2 secs comes at a price of -20 str and +20 dex,
now in a average fight it last longer then 30 secs, SO your gaining more HP from those extra 3 heals than you would if you have 20 more str, and 20 less dex
thus the 20 more dex seems more favorable.

this is limited tho,
when your character hits (counting down) around 3-4 secs, the advantage to dex stops due to balance issues, so at this peek in dex's performance is lies the optimal setting for a dexer....

but don't get me wrong, dexxers also have a less limited window to heal, if you dex to the extreme and lets say only have 100 str.
your more ceceptable (sorry if i spelled that wrong) to ganks, or to be takin AFK


hope that cleared things up a bit, i was to lazy to look for the dexxing formula

i understand completely about the healing issue. reading about the new formulas bob made etc makes me want a high dex....but on the flipside id also like faster striking. balance-wise you swords/mace have high damage with even 1h weapons compared to use with warforks....i could be wrong though. but you guys hit hard. everything hits hard......

i went hunting with a few guys yesterday and they were hitting for 40's-50's every 2 seconds (estimated) while i was hitting with my fork for like 9-20 tops. yes they did have a little bit of a better weapon but still.......i have skills that are supposed to help my damage output and yet i have to see any returns for that hard work. im starting to guess that training anatomy and tactics has no effect on dmg like OSI-like shards do. perhaps its a different table? my damage should have changed by now though.....but im still hitting for the minimum dmg for my weapon. if i use a warfork....i have 1-27 dmg (maybe 28) and i usually hit for 2-12 most of the time......when mobs hit me for 65 in almost every dungeon. only with combined effort of 4-5 people yesterday was i able to kill things and only dying 7 times. this is a hard shard i know....but there has to be some leniency towards players with lower HP so they can actually hunt solo. i cant even get past the main hallway of WRONG now.....whereas when i first started playing this game (this is my first shard and this is my first char ever) we could solo wrong and manage to stay alive.

lmao,
1 raise ur str
2 if your fencing your going to want to invest in some elemental weps, as they do lots of damage really quickly,
3 if you cant get your hands on an elemental wep, get a +7, they seem to be pretty evened with there macing and swords counterparts

i remember in the old t3a that there was a different between having 120dex and 140dex and 160dex, this days i havent use my warrior since hunting SUCK....


what i wanna know is whats the different today of having 100 - 120 - 140 - 160 - 180 dex in some cases

every 20 dex you have, that knocks off 1 second of ur healing

thats the advantage to having dex,
and thats why you only see people stop in intervals of 20

but now, you can get - timing to your healing in intervals down to 2 dex points (would give u .1 healing knocked off)
