I would love to know who's brainwave this was? I don't know if it is a change because of the new server or if someone here actually thought this was a great idea but now because i died there and couldn't get out i just lost a ton of shit waiting for a staff member of which we have like what 2 active ones? There are a lot of things on this shard that are soooooo f****** annoying it is not even worth logging in lately.

That would be the middle of the hedge maze in the basement of the house there.

Yes that is where it is. There is a way in but both ways out have been closed off so the only way is an RC stone, kind of hard to do if your dead. So just for going in there it cost me about 10k gold, about 200 of each reg, about 100 or so deadwood and whatever other pots, bandies and whatnot i had in my pack. This is like the tip of the iceberg for me and i am starting to wonder why i even bother logging in when lately i always end up logging off annoyed. I can't even walk into static housing anymore to tame a ride because you get stuck in there. So typically i ignore stangs that spawned there because it is not worth the annoyance of trying to get to it. Mining is a complete waste of time. I mined for about 3 hours yesterday and after failing 6-8 times a tile managed to get some ore only to have half of it lost when i tried to smelt it. That and the insane lag lately makes this game completely unplayable.

Page ingame... If this place is off-limits, but a GM has (!) blocked the exits and not the entrance, then this needs to be sorted.

I have to admit I've not been there since I came back so I'm not sure on the location.

Seeing as you've technically reported a bug (that you've fallen foul of), we will fix this issue and then discuss the possibility of any equipment recompense :)

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Happened to me once in a different location, I paged and no one came to me and I lost all of my shit since no one could get to me to loot me.

I suggest to remove the non-active staff and replace them with new ones. That will fix the problem (if there active).

Nothing is going to be done with staff at this time. There are more important things to worry about, and the playerbase is too low. :P

That being said, posting about problems like this without the anger/flames is the best thing to do.
Yes this is a fluke from the transfer (the basement is going to be removed from runecodes when the new ones are added later this week, maybe today if i have time)

That being said, there are several "dead end" situations that are INTENTIONAL in the shard, whcih is why you should have friends who can save you or go in groups when exploring. :)
One of the jungle bosses will eat your corpse if you don't kill him and runestone out of his area(only way out once you fall in)

Oh yes with a playerbase of 3 i should have hunted in a group. And in the current situation you are going to have a hard time keeping the players you do have and no chance in hell of getting new ones if nothing is changed. People log on to a game to have fun not be totally f****** annoyed by it and then told oh but look how realistic we made it.

My point was that some areas were designed to be taken with groups. Not all, but some.
They are not getting redesigned just because the playerbase is a tad low right now.
It's not staff's fault if you die and are unressable in those particular areas.

On that note the "I'm dead save my stuff for a high price" menu will be re-appearing soon.

Well then maybe for now (while the playerbase is low and we cannot call for our buddies to help us) script a command.

For example,

.example

This command would check if you are dead, and set a tag on the dead player with a timer for maybe 10-35 seconds.
But to avoid from players using this command to get out of ganking or pking situations,
have it make a stone maybe 1-2 tiles away from there dead body that says outloud, for example, "Click me if you pked this noob"
The dead person would not be able to click this, but if the stone is clicked by someone around the area (most likely a pker),
the tag is removed and he stays there. But if the stone isn't clicked within 35 seconds the stone is removed,
he is resurrected, and then poofed to vesper safely with his loot that he would have lost without the command.

After he is poofed you should have it set a timer for maybe 24 hours so it cannot be used so often.

This in my eyes would fix this problem for now, untill we either have more players or active staff.

We don't offer get out of jail free cards for dying I'm afraid Spawn, sorry mate.

I agree that this is an issue though; if there are any sites that are "unressable" due to scenery or staff mistake then please let us know.

If, however, it's a "deliberately" dangerous area that you can't res in, I may look at putting a few signposts up. Then if you die in that area you can't complain about it.

It makes sense that the local populace would put some signposts up to warn of particularly hazardous areas. PK bridge in vesper would be a good example of recent memory...
