Healing isnt bad, but you do seem to fail more when poisoned.
And honestly belg, i don't think i've seen you online once in several months, you probably dont know what your talking about. There are still alot of small changes going on that arent announced.

Yeah, it fails more and I believe it heals half if still poisoned until cured. Same with magic, it will let you heal now. I guess that will enable the pvp mage to function a bit better. Good for some...bad for others :P

Old healing system:
Your chance to fail was based on your hunger
at completely full, you had a 1 in 6 chance to fail.
at completely empty, you had a 50% chance to fail.

New system:
Chance to fail is based on healing skill.
50% skill gets you 1 in 4 chance to fail.
100% skill gets you a 1 in 8 chance to fail.

So to get the equivalent failure rate of the old system at full food, you need 75% skill.
Any higher and you will fail less.

Your chance to heal is not affected by poison at all.

Chance to cure poison(if you have proper skills):

Old system:
50% chance. Period.
Would also not heal no matter of success.

New system is based on anatomy skill:
42% chance to fail at 60% anatomy.
25% chance to fail at GM.
-50% health restored if poisoned during bandage attempt(even if it works and cures you).

Now we get to delays:

Old System:
+2 second delay from equipment(1st hand)
+1 second delay from equpiment(2nd hand)

Base Healing Self:
11 seconds + magery/20 - (dex/20)
Base Healing Others:
12 seconds + magery/20 - (dex/20)

No minimum delay

New System:

+2 second delay from equipment(1st hand)
+1 second delay from equpiment(2nd hand)

+0 - +3 Hunger level, full is 0, starving is 3
+2 Poisoned

Base healing rate(ALL):
11 seconds + magery/20 - (dex/20)

Minimum delay = 2 seconds

So if you're at full food, you have the same delay rate. If you're poisoned you have +2 seconds delay, BUT you also heal 50% instead of no health like the old system.

I do believe I like the new system better. General health, mana, and stamina regen could stand to be a tad faster though in my opinion.

Well if i hadn't been online trying it i would not have even mentioned it.

And I am about 98% healing skill and the fails i get are far more than 1 in 8 that i know for sure. I have failed sometimes 4-5 times in a row.

I wonder if these guys have the same problem adapting to changing their panties as they do adapting to changes that Bob and BB have made to the shard? If you try it, don't like it...move on to something else - bitching about what you hate isn't going to really change anything anytime soon. And as for those people logging on to see what has changed but not playing...how the hell do they know if they truly like the new changes? It takes more than 5 minutes to truly understand whether you like something or not.

When you have invested even 1/3 the time i have in this shard then you can talk. You have no idea what this shard used to be nor will you ever know if it stays the same as it is. It has nothing to do with adapting to changes, those of us who have been around a hell of a lot longer then you have have adapted many times to many things, What we are talking about here is changing the game so much that it is no longer anything like the game that we invested the time into. Which is why noone plays anymore. Which is why when i play i only log on for a little amount of time because it pisses me off and i log out. So before you open your mouth about shit you do not understand try reading some of the old posts and seeing what it was we had to adapt too.

You're right - I haven't been here a third of the time that most of these guys have...but I've been around long enough to hear about how it used to be, and know the way it was when I started, and the way it is now. Sure, it pisses people off to log in (myself included) and see that things have progressed in a manner that they deem unacceptable, but like I said before - If you really don't like the changes, and your words bring about no changes to your liking, then, go somewhere else.

There are so many things that are messed up right now, and sometimes it seems a waste to still hold on to the faith that the shard will come back as good as it was at one point (if not better than ever), but we just have to sit back and pesevere while staff tries to achieve the goals set before them.

i been here longer than my forum date a month or so anyways, but the only thing that ever mattered to me was that the people who play obsidian always seem to share like ideas in game and in real life. as long as my friends are here, i will always be around. uo shards can be so different but the main difference is our staff and players have heart and no matter what client we use it will still be obsidian to me.

the reason i don't play much is because Xbox live is awesome plus i been playing a lot of new stuff on my new pc.
