and assholes just like me around Britannia would just drop there skills and never be lootable, rather lose a fight and not lose anything then have a better chance winning a fight but can get fully looted,,,,,,,,

Ahh the good old days. Nothing like being raped, looted, and left naked to sunburn. But, that is part of the game. That rush of adrenalin and excitemnent makes it fun. Without it, it would just be boring.

hahah, I loved those days, I remember praying to god restile, ashes, or black magic didn't show up when I was a noob. Shaking everytime I recalled to the entrance of the dungeon, polyed as quick as I could, ran inside and killed as fast as I could, always having my cursor on my wall pot incause someone ran in. Then I would either use my gate weapon, or drop an rc hoping they don't wall over it. By then I my palms would be sweaty and shaking and my heart was beating so fast it would mess up the way I clicked with my mouse. Then once the wall is down you make a run for it, him on a horse, you polyed without a horse, dodging him so he couldn't wall you. Then in the end you die, well..atleast I did


I really hope this could happen again, I may even restart one day to enjoy that excitment lol (probably not)


Oh, and sometimes when there is a really nice fight (not now, but maybe like 4-6 months ago when there was like 15 ppl on) I would still shake because there was a small chance of a gank coming

You guys nailed it. That is the obsidian i remember and love. There is enough little tricks to save your loot as it is. Almost everyone has atleast 1 gate travel wep that they carry on there char. Babying noobs is not the way of keep them. I think it is that kind of thing that makes people get bored and give up on UO entirely. It was the rush of being pked and trying to fight back even tho you didnt have a chance that got me into pvp in the first place.
