For sure a big pain in the butt redoing houses. Losing years of work in some cases is a bigger one though.

Frankly everyone who had their house decay is just plain disinterested, and thus lost their house because of their lack of attention. It's not staff's fault.

Hmm....Just plain disnterested... would usually assume that is IN FACT an issue wth the people who run the game and NOT the player. Disinterest is like crap...it rolls downhill.
Not much GMs and such can do though, except what Echo did in warning us as soon as he knew it was a problem. There is definately something that can be done and that is cancelling the decay of housng until all is good again and players can get more interested again.
Whatever happens though, a fix for what has already happened should be applied. If a company like Facebook saw that people stopped logging on they would re-evaluate what they are doing, not delete their accounts.
Seeing as how we already know what is keepng people away and it won't change for a little while longer, no sense in re-evaluating anything, but at the very least try not to permanently lose people before things are right again.

That's my 2 cents worth...well with inflation and exchange rate etc...could be closer to a single cent but wh......

yeah my house was still fine as well.... and i haven't logged on in a long while prob over a month. so is there a housing decay bug or are some of us just special? cause if more then one person has a no decay "problem" this sounds like some people could also have accelerated decay does it not? in short is there something wrong with the housing decay process? and no I'm not disinterested I loved Obs but now its just not worth it with all the issues that are going around having to replace my house 3 times (not to mentions get echos help to do that) simply because of bugs that were not found and rollbacks took place its not worth logging on and crafting just to loose it all the next day or week. so im sorry if i seem "disinterested" but I think that is the wrong word to be useing for those of us who love obs and are simply trying to wait this out.


BTW did taxes ever get fixed? or do our houses just need "attention" to refresh?

EDIT: ok one of my houses did decay but the other is fine they were placed on the exact same day.. wtf? yeah this REALLY makes me want to come back and play

Houses need attention to refresh not gold (at least that's the conclusion I've come to)

Wow, I go camping for a weekend and you all break shit again.

That being said, my view on it is as follows:

I stated in a post that there would be no taxes, don't know if i mentioned refreshing still or not, but i think that is where people are mistaking that no taxes === no refreshing.

A good rule of thumb, assume shit is the same unless you have experienced something to prove it isn't. Refreshes were kept in.

That being said, it's an understandable confusion, and i'll try to talk with broadband tonight and see what we can do about a rollback. What i will probably try to do is rollback the minimum amount(looks like around 2 days?) and then do a mass refresh to give people enough time to login and notice wtf is happening.

But as i said, we'll see what broadband wants to do

i honestly don't know when my house decayed since i log onto ankh every now and again just keep her in one house notice that that houses taxes are fine for the next month or so log back out thinking my other house must be fine as well cause thats how it used to be... since I placed the houses on the same day i thought i would be fine.

IMO rollback would be dumb, players placed their houses and knew they only had 1 month to refresh it, this information wasnt kept from them. Its their own fault.

i would have no prob with a rollback if it would save peoples stuff.

pain in the ass maybe but well worth it if it helps my fellow players.

if you gona do a roll back i want everything that ill lose to it back! im sick of these rollbacks, first you do a roll back and i had to replace my house again and that time unpack command screw everything and i lost my all belongings, now when i allready dealt with it and decided to live on you again come in and want to take everything else what i earned in the few last days. Thx alot!
p.s. Venom is right people were worned and its there problem. Someone said that its hard to find time to log in to refresh: wtf dude you have 30 days to do that i dont see how you cant find a few minutes to log in in this game having 30 real days for that, unless you just dont give a damn about this game.

the way i see it is that Obsdian is still in beta stage right.. therefor anything progressing towards development & 'calibration' of the game should be in place. imo 'we' got no real rights to blame anyone for entities lost or ingame time 'to be lost' knowing as i said a beta version & a rollback is most likely for the good of the game.

(aslong as i get to keep my tower in one way or another that is)

Well it seams to me the only one that lost stuff are the ones haveing the issue and wanting a roll back. I am so tired of hunting and fishing,craffting and what not just to have it taken due to a roll back. Which i do understand that in some cases roll backs can not be helped. This i feel is not one of theam because number 1 echo i think not 100% sure on that made a list of all the houses that need to be taken care of. And number 2 a nother play took their time to go around and make a list and posted. So im sorry to say if you lost your house with the things in it due to not loging in just because the shard is at 100% atm. Then its your own fault and no one elses.
