I'm going to say this ONCE more.
This is because i have said it over 18 times. I went back and counted the posts.


A LOT OF THE CHANGES (such as the crafting recipes and skill levels) are NOT GOING TO STAY and are merely a side affect of the upgrade.

Staff did NOT do these changes, they just haven't been put back to how they were before yet.

I am especially sick of the two specific people who i have posted this in reply to multiple times who refuse to get it through their thick skulls.


I asked for useful suggestions, not bitching. And definitly not bitching about shit that you've been told multiple times is a load of crap and is going to get put back to how it was.

Yes, i'm a little perterbed, and i'm not going to quite start banning people yet, but if i see this pop up another 3 times, i will start banning people on it.

You all need to learn to read, and understand, because if ya don't it just makes us repost shit 20 times, and makes us frustrated that we can't hold intelligent conversations.

Anyway now that the little rant is done, back to being civil.

That being said thank you for those who provided meaningful useful nongeneric input. Once i get to a lowspot in the week i should be able to get another decent sized patch put in.

Also:

Eraser - wall pots shuold have been fixed a few days before this post, along with numerous other fixes, and i just rechecked all the dl's, nothing on my scanner, so you either have a crappy scanner, or you need to PM me th elink you were downloading from.

People are only saying these things over and over because they love Obsidian, or at least what it was, and what it will hopefully be again.

Right now there's a general feeling of dispair because we see this shard in an unplayable state. It kind of like seeing someone you love on an operating table undergoing brain surgery....most likely it will be fine, but there's a chance it won't.

funny, because last i checked, if i saw someone i loved on an operating table, i wouldn't go up to them and say these things to them DURING their surgery.

"You have a tumor"
"Hey, did you know you have a tumor?"
"You really should get that tumor looked at"
"that tumor is going to kill you, might want it removed"

You can coat it however you want, it still shows an extreme lack of thought and consideration from the people who are posting it.

Pointing out that something is wrong is caring for the shard
Checking up on it if nothing's happened in a month+ to make sure it didn't get lost in the paperwork is caring for the shard.

Saying the same damn thing 20 times after you've already been given an answer to it an equal number of times, and that answer is "It'll happen, just more important things are happening first, it's not going to stay that way, and be patient" is not caring for the shard.

so why dont u copy and paste that last sentence to who ever asks... no typing involved, just have it on a macro ^_^ Lolz

You know, I haven't seen a new "news" post in a while saying anything about all of this stuff, or atleast it is very very old.

I'd suggest posting a news post about everything that is being fixed, what's going on, when we can excpect the changes, etc.

Posting that small little topic will inform everyone on what the hell is going on, I have no clue on what staff are doing to fix anything that is broken. All I know that game play now sucks and I don't even feel the need to logon. Cause of course my stats or skills would drop

Well you wanted to know what our priorities are and we told you put it all back the way it was first and then go from there. And i really think that you throwing a tantrum whenever someone shares their opinions isn't helping matters much. And frankly at this point i could care less if you ban my account because that in itself will just prove what i have been telling people all along.

nah, all it would prove is that you're a special special person who dislikes reading directions and re-writes anything he reads in his head so it fits what he wants to hear. But again, don't my logic get in the way of your rants, it's hilarious

That being said, i'll try to put up a news post after the next big patch if ic an. A lot of the patches are just bugfixes or making things work how they should, i usually just post it's fixed in the appropriate thread in bugs/suggestions. It probably needs some pruning now.

I don't know if "pruning" means going back and editing your previous post. But if that is what it means, then I'd suggest just delete the last topic and remaking one. I've seen you go around telling people that you've already posted a post about what they are crying about, but what you have done is when you see there post, you go back to your topic and edit it so it does say what they are crying about after they posted about it. Then you say some smartass remarks even though you are wrong.

The edit marks are usually in there for some other reason than some petty squabble. No need to apologise to someone you're making an accusation on, because if you didn't mean it then you wouldn't post it.
Bob isn't perfect, but he does work to better the shard. Sure the odd smartass comment seems to drive some people up the wall but they need to get over that and look to the points bob is making. He does care and he is doing a good job of rebuilding things.

If you would care to share who you are rather than hide behind a generic name I may give your comment more credence than it has currently in my mind.
In the future I ask that you offer more constructive advice towards the obsidian community than petty comments towards a member of staff.

You know GM Bob, what I think could be helpful to stop all of this "just put it back like it was business", would be to perhaps you or another staff member give us a list of where you are at now. That is, if you aren't already almost done.

For instance something like:

Things reverting back to old way:
gems sell for original price
armor actually has different stages of weakening magery or intelligence
blah blah
blah

Things that will be changing or have changed for good:
New status bar
new housing
blah
blah

(Note this is just an example list, not what I think or heard is permanent or being reverted.)

see bob im not the only one who wanna know whta changes staff is making and what changes need to be made, we all care about Obsidian shard and specially old players wanna get involve in the issues, thats why we more like NEED to know what u guys doing what bugfix u did what's still bugged , what stuffs change and what stuffs need to be like was before.

Because we login to the game and dont know what have change, someone try to mining and he cant cus skill still not been fixed , some other guy try dunno healing and the delay or something like that is f*****, etc. etc. stuff like that.


like a feew ppl already say it here, we wanna know what staff is working and what stuff still not working.

in the same way u r asking us to undertand u , u need too understand us too

Ah good, SOMEONE likes my idea haha. I was getting worried there for a bit after a day of silence...

But yeah something like the example I gave would be great. If you or someone else doesn't have time to do this, then just let us know to hold tight for whatever surprises we have. I myself read this board a few times every day, and I'm pretty sure from what I remember we haven't had a clear "chart" if you will of what we can suggest changes to, and what we should just shut up about for the time being.

Well hope this doesnt start a lote of crap. But that is why some people look it like nothing is being done. Because its sometimes days or weeks befor anyone hears anything. And they dont know what has been fixed when. All they can see is nothing working. And the ton of exuces we get why things arent done.

Yeah, well normally when i get time to fix things, i prefer to spend time on fixing them, rather than gathering up the changes to-date and posting them. That being said things get fixed on a daily or semi-daily basis, depending on how busy i am, recently i've been out of town around 80% of any given week, so i only have time to fix shit, not really to update threads.

I'll go back to the old system of posting on the news when things get fixed, or at least put up another running changelog, rather than just closing out the bug threads. A big update still looks like it will happen this weekend, barring i don't die on the way back to town
