What does everyone think about turning stonewall potions into temporary no-recall zones?
or
Increasing the cast time on the recall spell?
Other ideas welcome, these were just two that were dug up from an old discussion(2004).

Is this is preparation for warrior - mage fighting?
If thats the case you also need to make the runestone crystal a 4 minute timer so they dont tele out before I hit / swing
(joke btw)
If mace isnt having its swing speed changed i'm going fencing - without having archery on a warrior there reall is no point having macefighting as a skill (IMO of course)

Both of them are silly, I don't like neither (knowing my opinion will probably not matter.) Ganks would happen alot more then, and no way for you to escape.

its a BAD idea
because let say im fishing and some PK show up i try to run and he got a stonewall pot , he used and......... WTF i do , since i have to wait like the time u increase to cast the recall spell or worse yet not be able to recall.
if this is something to try to balance the PvP.... im not sure thats the way to go... u need to think in the rest of the ppl not just in the ppl who do PvP , cus some ppl dont like PvP and all the chars r crafters or just Chars to PvM

What to say? Something in me LOVES the idea of it and another half of me doesn't.
A lot of things in pvp would just seem cheap if this was put in. I pvp with a mage and the way things are right now with swings and even misses fizzling my spells, things would be too difficult but at the same time not impossible. It would take some getting used to but it might work.
I say, since everyone is kind unsure how this would work out, implement it for lets say a day or two and see how it works out.
Just an idea.

I don't think recalling out of a wall was that big of a problem anyway a good mage could fizzle it any time it was casted anyway. and I used to use archery to fizzle it as well. Why fix stuff that isn't really broken that's my opinion.

I think Bobs popped up this idea because now warriors dont have archery mages cant be killed (well not with macefighting anyways)
It was kinda in reaction to the set 4 stone wall pots off so you are right next to a mage who can jus stop you hitting by moving every 3 seconds, but my counter argument was that if you did actually manage to get a mage wityh that tactic they just recall3ed before you could hit em anyways.

actually barney was only half right. I've been re-reading the forum archives back to when the shard started, and i've been going through all the old ideas, seeing which ones were good but that we couldn't do at the time due to how the system was workign. Barney's post reminded me of that particular thread (i'm only in 03 right now, was workign backwards from the present), so i figured i'd see what people thought about it.
I personally thought it was rather silly, but as always, i like to hear what everyone thinks.
I could care less how things are balanced, and i more than welcome people to suggest ways to do it. All i work for is to make sure things are balanced in the end. The steps we take to get there is up to anyone. That being said i'm fairly certain we will not be doing this.
