Once again, thank you all for the nice comments. You have no idea how rough going through stuff like this is. I need every little bit of encouragement I can get.
Don't worry about having to write a letter, Chips. I just posted that letter since it explains everything I am going through in great detail. However, if you feel you know me well enough, don't hesitate to write. You know, I’m not sure which character I had but I think I chatted with you in-game a long while back. Were you ever in some sort of Fishing guild?
(This is shaping up to be a long post. Do NOT read if this irritates you or you do not have the time.)
The internet is a strange place. I'm sure we all feel we know each other to some degree or other but how does one really know? Take me, for instance: how do you know that I didn't just make this entire story up simply to get attention? Of course that isn't true but it really was a big deal for me to post that letter here.
Obs is one of the few places online where I have actually felt comfortable enough posting updates about my condition. In fact, it's probably the only public site aside from a couple of specifically spinal injury oriented support forums where I have talked about it.
I really don't like talking about my condition. Not only does doing so make me relive my accident over and over again in my mind but I also don't like the possibility that someone else might think that I'm just trying to garner special treatment. That is definitely NOT the case. In fact, I've even said before that aside from the community I not only enjoy but NEED the challenge of the game itself.
Again, I appreciate everyone’s help and support. If anyone has any helpful suggestions or advice, please feel free to IM me or just post it here. Who knows, maybe there are other people that are in the same position who might find the information useful. That and they just might find a super fun game to play with a great community as well!
If everyone is O.K. with it, I may just use this thread as a mini-blog for a while until I get my disability rolling. Don’t feel the need to reply. There is so much confusing information online regarding how to go through this process so how cool is it and what better place is there than Obsidian to find some helpful tips!
As always, take care, peace and I hope everyone has a good day!

Another reason why it's good to live in Vermont:
So, my landlord's truck wouldn't start and he asked if he could borrow my car for a quick trip down the road. However, about a hour later I get a phone call: "Uhhhhh, Bryan. I, uh, had a bit of a fender bender here..."
I have no insurance on the car since I wasn't driving it and in fact had it out front on the lawn with a For Sale sign on it. Even if I did, it wouldn't have any collision coverage.
Nobody was hurt and no other cars were damaged since he says the "brakes failed" and thus just had a simple confrontation with a wall. Well, Bill missed his saving throw and the wall won with a critical damage bonus to boot.
Cool thing about Vermont: your auto insurance isn't really on your car but on YOU. Hence, if you hop into someone else's car and have an accident, the insurance you have covers it!
Long story short: what at first looked like a "OMG WTF" moment turned out actually to be in my favor since my landlord had collision coverage through his insurance company! Once the dust settles and all the paperwork gets filled out his insurance company is actually going to buy the car from me (the cost to fix the damage is equal to or exceeds the value of the vehical) for the same amount of money if not more than we were going to sell it for!
That's going to be a big help since we are a little strapped in the money department until my disability hearing in September. Now I just have to remember to have the mechanic pull the radio, speakers, 500w amp and subwoofer out of the car before they come and get it.
You see? Things are going to work out fine for ol' Cyber just yet.
At any rate, I thought that the odd trivia about insurance in Vermont might interest someone out there.
Take care all and keep those good thoughts, juju vibes, pagen rituals and prayers coming this way. I'll do the same and I hope you had a good day!

Tomorrow is D-Day for ol' Cyber, boys and girls...
Yep. Two and a half years in the making. Finally, I get to state my case before a judge about my disability.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to win since I'm giving 25% of my settlement to my lawyers. Don't you just love America?
Bee-atching aside, I just wish that everyone could send some good thoughts and energy to Burlington, Vermont at around 10am EST October 8th, 2008.
It doesn't matter if you are "evil" or "good", "hate" me or "love" me. I think for all intensive purposes, pretty much everyone here has spurred me on toward the better somehow. So...
Let's all give a shout-out for not only me during my teleconferenced meeting with a judge from miles away, but also those we know around here that need just a little nudge or two to keep on going.
Maybe October 8th should be "No PK day" or some crap....
NAAAAAAAH! That's way too granola!
But the fact still is this: My life...my Real Life...hangs in the balance tomorrow. If I make it through this I will be around for many more years on Obs. If not, then, well...I don't know...
Take care all. And, you know what? I kinda wasn't kidding about the "No PK Day" tomorrow on the 8th... I dunno... It's just a thought...
Rock on...Fly Low and Miss the Radar...Keep on Keepin'...and...(fill in your own stuff here)...
Peace...

Let us know how it goes Cyber - win or lose you'll always have a special place here. And we can always do something fun as hell ingame to celebrate.
