Yeah unfortunately due to the works of a few while housing was fubar and a few npcs not working right, we will be rolling back. However it may not be for awhile, we want to try to hash out a few more of the big bugs that are lying around in hopes that this will be the last rollback for this month.

Of course who knows, some players seem to love abusing any bugs that come around even if they know it won't do anything but get time rolled back.

On the plus side most of the new patch is workign the way it should be, and we've gotten 80% of the reported bugs solved with the rest being worked on.

THe day after beta month is the only day it's "safe" to play.

But also realize that playing right now helps us get stuff solved faster by finding that it's wrong. So not playing just makes the chance we'll have to do more rollbacks higher.

I would like to add that during this beta month I myself (because I can't talk for other staff) might seem to give a little extra help. But I want you to know not to expect it after the rollback. It is just to help you as you find bugs and broken things.

So get out there and find/report these things.

I was going to make a quip about how the beta related to a one night stand where the girl asks "was it as good for you as it was for me" and then you never call her again but... But I wont do that... ("it's a joke son! You're killin' me!" -Foghorn Leghorn) ;)

In all seriousness though, I am probably not alone in wondering about what level of rollback we are talking about.

I for one would be (and actually have been) more adventerous in what things I attempt to do in order to test. Case in point: checking pre-patch uncooked fff. (ugh!)

In short:

1) How far will the rollback go once the beta is done?
2) I see that someone's advice was taken and employed on the Main Page. Specifically, to state what is currently going on with the shard in case any new players come along. Perhaps a date when things will return to normal should be added? Just a thought... 8)
3) Houses. This is sort of tied in with question 1. Since all decayed houses were essentially restored during the beta thus giving active players a chance to pay taxes again, will this rollback un-do that?

OK. That's enough questions. You guys already have enough work cut out for you. In fact, you have gone WAY out of your way to attempt to maintain things/stock that people had pre-patch.

If the exact date of beta-end/rollback is not set in stone, that's cool. I'm more than certain we'll all get the heads up one way or another. If not, we'll get over it and then tell tales about the "Big Patch of '08".

Finally...Drak: I hope you know I was joking. I'm sure everyone is going fricken nutz trying to get everything done. Hey! Why don't you guys take a month off and see what happens when you come back! Anybody ever read "Lord of the Flies"? :P
