Just to make my stance perfectly clear... I do not hate Christians or anyone for that matter. I dislike people who claim to be christian and have never read the book. I also dislike how if your not christian you are targeted for all manner of insults and slurrs. I am an Athiest period end of story. I could care less what religion you are if your a good person thats good enough for me. I am sorry if I offended any of you with my personal statement but thats how I feel in general. If you are christian and a good person then your cool with me. I attack what christianity has become, because I disagree with it. You are more than welcome to tell me that Andrew Jackson should have killed off all the Cherokee when he had the chance (thus eliminating "my" people) and I would respect your opinion on the matter and tell you why you are wrong....

TRUE, especially in Poland...damn christians religion rules everything here. I DONT HATE CHRISTIANS!!! I HATE THEIR RELIGION!!! thats not the same damn thing guys. damn polish devots... anyway the other thing is that if ur parents are christians u ve gotta to be one too...but if i dont want it?....its hard to say NO! when ur like 10 moths old....i'd like to have a CHOICE, but it was already chosen...

This reply is for oldman now this is before when the prophet asked to fight back or atleast defend themselves this is what god said to him and his people:

A few more verses just for everyone here you be the judge:

Fight in the way of God against those who fight against you, but do not transgress. God does not love transgressors (2:190).
Do not betray the agreements you have made.
Do not make any plundering.
Wrong no one and exercise no torture.
Do not touch the children, women and the old.
Do not destroy fruit-trees and fertile lands.
Do not kill sheep and cattle.
Respect all religious persons who live in hermitages or convents and spare their edifices. (Ibn al-Athir, al-Kami fi al-Tarikh, Vol.3, p.227.)
There you are if any of you have any further questions about Islam or any misunderstandings you are more than welcomed to ask although I do not consider myself an expert or a good follower at that even but still I do have the knowledge which im more than eager to share.

Seems to me that the Quran suggests a peaceful way of life much like the new testament of the bible does. Personally I think the problems arise from fanatics of either or both religions. The issue with any kind of written or verbal statement is that it is open to interpretation, and it is where many of the problems arise.
Like for example this section you mentioned lestat:
"Fight in the way of God against those who fight against you, but do not transgress. God does not love transgressors (2:190)."
One person could interpret it as standing up for what you believe in, while others believe that it means killing people who diagree with what they think the passage means.

Duck you pointed out a very good point there which I forgot to mention and that is yes it can be interpreted in many different ways but if you educated well enough you would know its true meaning just like you understood now the problem is that the people leading our mosques are mostly or i should say 90% uneducated except for the the field of islam which is also mostly their opinions and lifestyle based or culture based and things even get deeper when u see how many different factions there are but thats another story.
To Throfin yet m8 i sure do remember you and its nice to see you around once again although I dont play as much anymore im always around on the forums

Oh and to the resident quran-thumper on this thread, doing their veil-wearing best to paint Islam as "peaceful" while their fellowers are out burning churches and killing.
In other words, for as long as there is people who believe the Koran in this world,
there will be a few who will take it to extreme measures.
We are doomed to be forever hated by Islam, and I truly wish it wasn't that way,
but co-existing with other religions has never been the way of Islam.
PS:And islam isint the fastest growing religion on earth,confused when i hear that,thats BS.
Islam is not growing faster then Christianity..Islam is growing cuz of high birth rate.

Ever heard of Christian Extremists...? Yeah, the bible has a lot of the same kind of stuff if you really want to go through and find every line that might in some way (some more than others) reference to violence and/or something YOU disagree with.
