Looks sweet ass, wonder if it'll be compatible with older sphere versions and shit.. altho all the other clients work with them so I dont see why not..

Eh, that's a huge iffy.
You know most sphere only work with set client verisons, due to encryption and changes in the packet structure.

But i'm curious how much work it would take to modify a new client to work with our beloved shard. When it comes out someone remind me to take a look at it, i might take a crack at it then and see if i can. Who knows, maybe it won't crash as much. :P

A client upgrade would definitely breathe some life into Obsidian.

Duo, yes sphere only works with set clients, but my guess is that there will be more than 1 version of this client, and chances of compatibility, or near enough to be customized are pretty good..

This won't be out for quite awhile still, but definately would do wonders, coupled with this patch and maybe some new and exciting stuff from BB.. we could have Obsidian back to it's former glory..

Considering (for comparison) the Lineage 2 client is 2GB I don't think the Obsidian client can be considered 'large'... unless you are a noob with dial-up in which case, GET BETTER INTERNETS.
