Maybe not powerleveling in general but I'm trying to make it where I can at least kill something larger than a goat or deer. Currently playing an archer I'm doing my best but this is taking forever. I'm not sure why I can't kill a skeleton or zombie yet but it's so annoying.

you have to keep training the more skill you gain the more you will hit. I suggest using a sword or mace first to get you're stength up then switch back to a bow.

'Levelling' is different here, you gain skills on a percentile scale by repeatedly using them until you hit 100% (Grandmaster)... not neccessarily tanking the hardest monsters for 'experience' like many other games.

Killing the tougher monsters generally yields its rewards in loot.

Concentrate on monsters you can, for instance, hit more often (eg weaker undead) until you have gm'd your archery skill. Then work on your other skills. Technically, training your archery first will give you a higher attack speed from the dexterity you gain - and thus you will gain mace skill and strength quicker when you switch to melee. However, it will be worth training some mace for strength until you hit 60 and can wear some better armour, then go back to archery and use the lower strength as an excuse to heavily train healing! Then when you've GMed archery and got 100 dex you can go back to macing to get 100 Str.

... I will let some of the players come forward and offer you advice on the best character model for an archer...

*moved to help and support, but I've left you a shadow topic*

Archers don't gain str very fast Kakiro, I would go with what belgarion suggested. I'd go with sword as that skill is cheaper so discard if u dont want it at a later date. Train it on the dummies in cove and see your str go up a lot quicker.

Its true that archers dont gain str very fast, but they do gain dex fast... which would increase the attack speed. So technically if he trained the dex as soon as he has gained enough strength to survive, he would gain the strength quicker when he went back to melee as he would swing alot more often.

But meh...

Also the more Dex you have the more powerful archery becomes.

If you want really fast gains, then you need to find the spot where the server boundaries cut and loop.

The only spot I've found is near Trinsic - there's a shack in the swamp where a woman gives a strange key - (to the west of Trinsic) - go find that spot. There should be animals out there to shoot - try shooting them and stepping back and forth until you notice 'bumps' in your movement.

Once you notice these 'bumps' you've found the 'gain line' - and once you get a gain step quickly over the line and you'll get another immediately.

It's kinda tricky to find the spot and get the timing right, but once you do, you'll be gaining like crazy!

Good luck all@!!

Wasn't that the case with old OSI servers (no idea about EA now)?
Where single shards were streched out through like 4 servers to ease
overpopulation strain..

Also UOAM still has the option to show server boundaries.
