well a while ago my comp started restarting and going to a blue page that would say some numbers and stuff and at the bottem it says physical memory being deleted and w/e:(
later i figured out this is only when im on obsid and this has not only cost me ingame reasources from when it first started the crashing till now but currently downloading files would be deleted when i start bak up or corrupted so i couldnt finish the download

ashes could attest to this as he got 15k and what was it 40-50 demon bones?
when i crashed in a dungeon and died meh,,,,

any way that was a while ago and that situation is over

recently the restarts have been getting worst and worst
it seems i cant log in 5 mins without crashing into the blue page:(

gotta go to bed now:(

but note i did try
1) reinstalling obsid threw the installer
2) deleting obsid totally and restarting
3) removing all items from pack
4) stand around like a nub and hope i wont crash
5) just stay off obsid and go play b-ball with my friends
(which ended up turning out bad cuz i stubbed my finger but
at least in this process i can lay a heavy beat down on someone)
*note* i murdered them in 1 on 1 the best game against me was
5-21 (i win).. ya.. OUCH dunked on that cat though *
ya know not haveing obsid really takes it outta u

I was having the same problems, and I found out that it was not just Obsidian, but since I played Obsidian most of the time, that’s where the problem showed up. My issue was that I didn't have the air conditioning on. Apparently my Computer didn't like 90 degree temperatures much and had a hard time staying cool. I Cleaned out all the crap from inside my case, replaced a bad fan, and kept the Air conditioner set at 77 Deg F. I have not had it happen since.

The other culprit could be a bad piece of hardware. You can run a test that stresses each individual component one at a time. When the test comes that crashes your computer, you have a good idea what s wrong. If your computer crashes randomly at different tests, then I would look at replacing your Power Supply. I think there's a program called Sandra out there that will test components one at a time. You’ll have to do a Google search to find it.

might be sandra b/c i have my fan running nicely and its so god dam cold in here i have no use for my fridgerator,,, i keep cold cases of water in my room

LOL, Ya, probably best to start with the easy stuff.

Another major culprit for the dreaded Blue Screen Of Death is conflicting / problematic device drivers.

Are you running Windows XP? If not, upgrade. If you are running Windows XP then I heartily recommend reinstalling it. If you REALLY cant afford / get Windows XP then try reinstalling the version of Windows you currently have.

If you have Windows Me, then 'drop' your PC and claim a better one on your house contents insurance.

Also, I suggest that you download (in this order)

a) DirectX 9.0c
b) latest drivers for your motherboard
c) latest drivers for your soundcard
d) latest drivers for your graphics card

Then, if it still persists, as Azi suggested try and remove heat/power as an issue. Ensure that your case airflow is not heavily obstructed by dust on fans or messy cables. If you are overclocking, tone it down. And if you have alot of hardware plugged into your power supply (eg 5 case fans, extra optical drives, extra PCI cards) then unplug anything that isn't necessary.

It is also generally considered good practise to disable any components in your pc that you dont use. You would do this using the BIOS (eg press 'del' or 'F2' or similar as prompted when you first switch your PC on).

Ideas of things to disable can be anything from additional network controllers to parallel port to onboard components such as onboard audio, graphics or networking hardware.

However, before changing any settings in the BIOS, ensure you consult your motherboard documentation and/or know what you are doing!

If this doesnt work, then it is pretty certain as Azi suggested that you have some faulty hardware... RAM for instance.

LOL im not a total computer noob jesus christ i know how to defrag...
but i did figure it out,, with the help of thass,azi's first post and jiza (wog) on msn

it ended up that my fan was backed up with dust
backed up isnt really the word to describe it
there was so much god damned dust back there it could choke and kill a horse or 2

anyways

o and i defragged my comp
and deleted alot of extra unneeded crap on my comp
still around 75 % free space though

Umm, you do know if all owners with windows me start having the same problem, and all them are connected to the game, they will come to you man! xD!

well its bak to the same problem but umm this time each time i even touch
a certain obsid file (not sure which one) it will crash my whole comp

im pretty sure its not the dust and the fans b/c i replaced all my fans
and got a new Pc case and literally vacuumed out all the dust within the comp lol

im pretty sure its not the space on my comp or anything in that line b/c
even if i try deleting obsidian manually and deleting via uninstaller
once it hits a certain file(even if i just move it or move the folder) itll crash my comp
i ve managed to delete all of obsidian and reinstall it but it dont help

i cant log on for more than 5 secs now literally Lol and im lucky to get that far
