 Post subject: outdated??? please help

well you see my obs patcher was opening really late ( 15-40min after clicked open) so i decided to try and reinstall but the installer i downloaded is bugged it stops at 36% and says error..... when i open the patcher i was left with it stated that my cleint is outdated and to download the new patcher?? if there is any information u have for me or another way to download obs pm me please.....thanks for your time reading my post

The Obsidian installer becomes corrupt if it is downloaded in different chunks, such as from a torrent. Try to download the installer from the main page under "Getting Started" all at once, if you hadn't done so. Otherwise, uninstall Obsidian, then install Obsidian again. Also, make sure your .NET framework is up to date, as not having the correct version causes problems with the patcher. You can find and download the .NET updates you may need by clicking HERE.

make sure u use internet explorer to download obs installer i get errors from my mozilla when i tryed that just ie and it will be fine Duh

check what ur virus scan took off ur comp, maybe something obs needs is in there,all those 70 something viruses u have

kig when i took out those 73 viruses i just fixed the program not deleted them completly and i guess ill try internet explorer then oh and the .net thing did nothing at all but thanks for the suggestion

well kiggers internet exploer thing did the trick but idk how to delete this post now thaT its all fixed if a mod would like to delete it thanks

...and at the risk of sounding like EA's tech support, as part of general maintenance you should defragment your PC regularly for the game to start quicker. Some may consider this obvious but its easy to overlook...

i would defrag my comp but i am a little newb and do not know what that truly is and or how to do it :) but advice to other people reinstall with internet explorer it works :)

There is a simple defragmenter within windows under Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools >

Just run it overnight (takes ages) to keep your PC running fast.

However, there are far better programs for this, such as 'Diskeeper'.
