Magery

Skill details:

  • Magery is the primary skill of the mage. Whenever any spell is cast there is a magery skill check.
  • Intelligence is the mage's prime stat. The more intelligence you have the more mana you have.
  • Meditation is the most essecial secondary skill to a mage it helps you recharge your mana.
  • Higher skill in magery will grant you less failures on casting.
  • Warlocks can use their race stone to find reagents.
  • The Rune is the target of the mark spell. When marking you are magically charging the rune with the essence of the location you are marking. The recall and gate travel spells will allow you and others to travel to the location where the rune was marked.
  • You can also use scrolls to cast spells. Less magery is needed to succeed. When using after double click it uses more mana then the real spell would have used

Skill usage:

These are the basic supplies of a mage:
runes, wizard's hat, spellbook blank scrolls
mortar and pestle, empty bottles
Mage Supplies

First open your spellbook either by doubleclicking on it or make an OPEN SPELLBOOK macro. To add a spell to your spellbook drag the spell from your inventory to the spellbook. Whether you can cast the spell or not it will then be added to your spellbook. To navigate pages in your spell book click on the turned pages in the top right/left.
Adding a spell

To see detailed information about a spell, single click on it. If you want you can also click and drag spell icons to make easy to use shortcuts. You can cast a spell several ways. Either double click on it's icon in the spellbook, doubleclick on a spell shortcut icon, or create a CASTSPELL macro.
