So today after a while I haven't trained with someone I decide to get with a friend and go train some melee.

After been training together for a bit I noticed that gains are super slow compared to when I'm at GY...

Is there something slowing us down? Cause if there is...it kinda sucks.

your friend has more tactics than skeletons, which means that he dodges a lot of attacks from u

Nope, I actually have more tactics than him, and I am constantly hitting him.

In addition before we started training I gained 4% healing with 1k bandies, we trained together and with 600 bandies didn't gain even 0.1%

Via page 2 of the change log:

New Content:

-- Thank(complain to) echo for the following change:
-- -- New anti-macroing system put in place for gains. If you're not playing for your gains, you won't gain well.

This could be why you and your friend we'rent gaining well.

Well this sucks and let me tell you why.

Usually when someone is training a warrior or a mage, will stop at a certain point and start messing around pvping n stuff.

Like this you are basically forcing people to hunt up until they are GM and get the fun all away because if they pvp then they won't gain anything.

So yea, it sucks lol

I agree with Terek. I started pvping on my Deathwish once I hit GM swordsmanship. I'm not someone who plays Obsidian for the PVM.

I started that character with 50 magic resist over 10 years ago and I have 50.9 magic resist to show for it. I just gained that .9 magic resist these last few weeks from hunting. I understand that 2 people training together can make for an easy way to gm skills but, realistically, someone would learn more from sparring with another person than shooting arrows at ghosts and skeletons.

All I did to train my last warrior was park him in Cove GY and run UO Loop with bandage self. I was GM my skills before the character was 21. I don't think the system in place accomplishes what it is supposed to. It does however take gains away from PVPers.
