Since account creation is fixed, how about we set up voting links? on UO top 100 etc? Just takes 5 minutes and could staff post the new vote links in the news on the website so people can vote without using the forums? I would do it but I need a banner and I cant think of a good description to describe obsidian? This was done years ago and proved quite valuable? do we need staff permission? I have a few good ideas for marketing but I cant do it on my own. Obsidian could be submitted to search engines? Maybe placed in ads on facebook? |

we can start a donation system. There are 5 voting sites, for $65 a month we can be shown on top page getting us ALOT of traffic. |

Well I have the cash to start this but as Terek said I expect input from higher staff to do the jobs that need doing, theirs no point getting obsidian to number 1 and dragging in new players if theirs no involvement, we have just had account creation finally fixed after years. As far I am aware just Echo is involved atm, bob maybe behind the scenes but I am not sure. Just like you I am in the dark :-/ But yeah I am willing just like you to pump cash in to obsidian to bring in new players Aww our love for obsidian must be sincere if we are prepared to empty our pockets

We won't be going gung-ho on the voting sites just yet. There are still a few issues to sort before we re-launch the game again and try to attract new players. Think of it like a dating site: If you join the dating site and upload bad pictures of yourself you won't get any likes and your profile will be ignored. Then when you get around to updating it, it's too late because everyone has already looked at your profile and passed it up. We don't want to send out massive invites for people to play if we're still having lag spikes, +7 weps are near impossible to get, the tutorial is a bit buggy, the list goes on. I'll be putting up an update at the start of next month like I told everyone in my last news post. |
