Soooo, im a irc user since I was 10, and loved the way irc, in a retrò way, connected ppl...

I've been on IRCnet for quite a while and I remember there was a hosted server by outz, to let ppl connect there and talk, so, I've decided to put up this website: www.obsidianshard.cushell.com where you can connect directly on the channel #obsidianshard on IRCnet.

If you wish to connect with an irc client such as mIRC, xCHAT or w/e you can download them at www.mirc.com and www.xchat.org ....then install, open your client and type:

/nick yournic
/server open.ircnet.net 6667
/join #obsidianshard

Im looking forward to see ya all there :D

also, on this network you can create other channels, as for your guild's and use a private key so that only guildmember would join...

Then it would be an easy way to reach ppl online if you want to buy or sell something...

Dunno, I see many advantages to this thing, so maybe if we all start using it we can keep in touch more directly...

I'd also like that GMs and other staff could join or maybe even leave an BNC client so that they can answer questions and keep in touch with the players.

If possible, www.obsidianshard.cushell.com can be added as a link to the main site, so that everyone can reach it easily.

and if you wish I can provide the mini-game hehehe...

Also, it would be a cool thing for new players that need help, in absence of staff they could find other players and ask them questions...

I mean, do you guys have facebook/msn/aim/orwhatever im client?

Well this kinda works like it, but you can talk in public channel, so that everyone sees you, and on private chat, or even create your guild channel and keep it private from other ppl...or public as you wish....and I semplified it by creating the link http://www.obsidianshard.cushell.com that opens up a web-page that directly redirects you on #obsidianshard...where yous all could even idle there and give it a try, just need to leave the website open, or either join with an irc client and leave it open...You dont need to be active, can check once in a while and just idle there and see if someone writes, and you can actually answer whenever u want....the cool thing is that we could gather all there and talk about anything....

I don't think that would be quite hard tho...just catch up there, open the frikken website page and idle, I am sure ppl will write once in a while and start enjoyn it... (especially when trivia and rpg bot will be online :P)

Cm on! Don't be lazy asses when I brought you the laziness tool to catch up all together...

If you are not doing it, then u dont care :P And by don't careing well...I'm sorry....I wanted to put a lil of effort in this to bring some light, in this dark moment of obsidian! Hoping to reconnect the few of us remained, even if we are of diff factions, we all belong to this shard!

Well hopin that my oprah speech touched some of yous, and maybe i'll catch someone online :P

Why do you continue to bother? The only person EVER online that I see is Falin.

Just give it a rest until the shard actually has people on.

Until then, get out of the house and enjoy life instead of an empty shard.

So i went there. I'm camel toe. Wow, i mean, it was sooooo........... Not worth the time it took me to right click on the link and open in a new tab and create a user name.

No offense, but i'm already on a messenger program with the people i need to talk to. If there were a bigger community it would be nice, but at most there are 10 people logged.

So when the shard has more players, it's a good idea but unnecessary at this time

GANGSTA!!!!! j/k I freaking would love a optional global chat system in game..................would make things cooler IMO.
