Thanks for posting this in good faith. I am disappointed to see flames/trolls/arguments in a well-intentioned thread.
There have been numerous threads about recruitment drives / voting / actively seeding the shard installer etc etc recently. This is great, however I think it's important that we wait until there is a cohesive staff team to support new players before we really drive for it in those ways.
When Bob has got his RL stuff sorted out and is back actively, I'll chat with him to find out if the shard is ready for that and we can put the wheels in motion.
In the meantime, you guys may be better off investing the time in spreading the shard via worth of mouth and listing the torrent than clicking on UO listings like that with playerbase numbers we currently have.
I'd rather have ten players that are your friends in RL and we can all support and retain as a community, than 100 strangers that could end up having a negative impact on the shard without enough staff to retain discipline, being frustrated due to lack of ingame staff support or events, or simply leave due to lack of understanding of what this shard is about.
Simply burning the shard on to $5 worth of blank CD's and passing them to friends is pretty much how BB and Cybervic started this shard in the first place. Sometimes the simplest actions are the easiest
