quite a few changes have happened to make animals used in pvp without being too powerful. The system we have now is good but still has potential to be too powerful. I would like to see use of animals become more exclusive.

Bears and other non-mountable animals should be unshrinkable. This would leave bears to magic users and wood elves. (animal lore should be kept as is)

Right now there are few wood elves and fewer that are used in pvp. I think this should be changed, having wood elves be more considerable when creating a pvp character.

i disagree becauuse making bears non shrinkable... would change nothing in pvp... just make having bears that much more inconvenient ....
no one uses shrunken bears as is.. it's the summoned bears that are a problem... even though most of the time the warrior wins... smh.. ima start using ryoko instead of talking about mage vrs warrior pvp.. lol

Also disagree.

It would effect the trade of shrunk animals for tamers and reduce it mostly to that of just shrunk mounts.

Disagree. First off, not many people use shrunken animals, they're too expensive, grizzlies are extremely easy to find, but shrinks are not. The current system lets tamers be effective, without breaking the bank, some warriors can use them, at a cost of 20% skills points at least, but are pretty useless in warrior vs warrior, a grizzly bear has maybe 120-150 HP. I kill them easily when warriors unshrink on me most of the time no matter what char im on.
Bears are only game-breaking when you have several of them (3 at least) + the high hitting dmg of a mage or warrior, seeing as how when you get hit you cant unshrink again for several seconds, its really not a problem, its one of the most balanced system for pet's i've seen on obsidian. Ever. Used to be able to pump out 10 in a row if you wanted..
So pretty much, mages can summon them as always, its not NEEDED but certainly helps.
Warriors can unshrink them (when not getting hit) at a costly rate.
Tamers dont need to shrink them, but they are less combat oriented so it SHOULD even out, idk, go fight Hook.

Well its shitty to see pvp be so materialistic, as far as power of shrinks i have to disagree. Having a silver snake or fire hell hound unshrunk on top of high str warriors and there ice turkeys really fucks my day up.

I would have liked to see this change more for the reason of wood elves. Would give them some use and make the game more intresting.

Silver snakes only spawn in 2 spots.. and in one of them you have to be a donator... Finding one is a challenge in itself, and then having 90% taming and a shrink.. yeah, maybe nerf them SLIGHTLY but they are pretty much fine IMO. Maybe lower spawn rates.
On another note, used correctly, wood elves pwn man, idk what your talking about. Not usefull? Go try one and use it correctly.

When do warriors even pvp? Theres no one to drop shrinks and less people able to make shrinks happen. You are basing opinions on what players do, not what players could do and thats flawed as shit.

Chips: When do warriors even use shrinks? I take it you mean they are strong enough to pvp without bears? So then wouldnt giving them a silver snake or 2 to boot be a little powerful?

I disagree also. I already think the animal system with lore and taming is already to broken, why make it worse.

Ya warriors have alot of pets on em, but we can barely even use one during a fight cause of the stupid fighting delay.

As for silver snakes the donater guild has been broken for months now, so there pretty much is only 1 spawn for them. I dont think the snakes need to be changed at all there already hard enough to get, if u go thru all the trouble of training to 90 taming and finding one, you should be given the extra boost in pvp.

does the delay count even if you are getting hit constantly by spells instead of melee because lets say warrior kills summon bears , then unshrinks n continues to p pot spam mage have no chance to create more summons...unless outside of a wall. Meanwhile warrior has no delay due to getting hit by magic only ...Just asking?
