Well today i had alot of luck, so i decided to go kill some bosses. Out of 2 bosses i killed today i got both drops due to me having 190 luck on like each of em. But to my suprise I didnt get any vanqs.. Or power as a matter of fact. Im just wondering, Is it only Shadow monsters that drop vanqs now or is it a bug that none of the bosses are dropping any good weps? Cause force seems a little low of a drop to be dropping off of bosses.

You killed two of the weakest bosses.
Specifically, two bosses intended for newer players.

Of course they won't drop vanquishing.

i killed a golem and got a normal +1 bow and shield of hardening. Just thought u should know

I think, that Weapons should be easy to get. The point is that weps as someone had already said is that, vanqs should not be considered as a prize, but as a weapon. IF i get a lightning +9 bow, i wont use it,because i dont want to lose it. It shouldnt be like that.

why worry about losing that? no ones killing you if you have that, unless you get ganked lol

which i think is the problem personally.. there to hard to get + there to powerful when they do happen to be obtained..
no fun in that system at all imo

I agree. Vanq weapons should not be considered as prizes, but as weapon drops.

As of right now thats what vanqs have become, prizes instead of simple attainable weapons drops.

i disagree, but only you guys are considering them prizes. ive earned all the ones ive got, its been tough though, they should be about double the rate they are now though. and everyone is forgetting that these power weps are the same as the t3a vanq.

if you de-rare wep drops in general it will make it far more easier to balance out a pvp system

in my time here when i was in my prime of pvp.. alot of it was due to the fact that I had one of the most extensive wepons collections on obsidian.

so i used my rare wepons like others would use normal wepons.. i lost alot of them.. but also won alot of fights..

ever since bob made mention of craftable ore weps.. i have been trying to get it pushed threw to make these new craftable wepons.. the key in balancing pvp..
as long as you have the main souce of a char types dmg as a rare.. then u will never see a truely balanced system


de-rare weapon drops and create some other nifty things to put in their place..

a mater of fact... i would say do away with weapon drops TOTALY as of right now.. that will give you new "controlled" weapons to balance pvp with as well as boost the economy for crafters..

Gonna throw this out there:
Why not just get rid of magic weapons entirely?

That's essentially what adam is advocating.
I know there will be some arguments, but the way the old system was, there was only one level of weapon, vanquishing.
Now there are 3 (plus 2(really 1) for when you're training/starting the game).
There's power which will end up being around the standard pvp fare.
There's vanquishing for the really high end stuff.
and there's force for general hunting.

This allows people to have a "goal" to work towards (one of many, bear with me) even when they've hit end-game.
It also adds some interesting elements to pvp as you'll have people confident enough to use their vanqs, as will the people who go after them.

Why did everyone have shittons of weapons in the old days? Because there were shittons of players and the economy moved them around.

As i said, just throwing those thoughts out for consideration.

the reason there was a shit load of weps is because cove lvl 3 droped them alot lol

Yeah, the 100% drop rate on ettin lords/cyclops kings probably helped. (always power or vanq) :P
