Scenario ---

Hunting magic using npcs for a hour or two...puts away loot....smiles about success after hunt...stats still screwed but logs out anyway...logs back in -1 all stats

Now i have to gather up 15 to 16k depending on what fisher and alchemist decides to be nice just to get stats back to normal....why do we have to have this punishment??

I was in a hunting mood... i always look at my stats ...proud that i sold all my rares i had left...proud that I hunted for ages just to afford to buy the stat fish n everything else needed to fix up my player..now back to waiting for a fisher to log back on.... cuz its not worth the risk of getting cursed...getting - statted and gaining int again n again...

What imma suggest is seriously lowering the int gains or checks for gains when using melee or ranged weapons...

Forcing certain stats certain builds is not cool...forcing players to pay for what it seemed to me a unavoidable mistake...is not cool...I like to play this game yes i bank sit n talk shit alot but thats cuz bs like this is still happening.

And the final and best Solution in MY OPINION is LOCKING stats... Im training a alchemist and i can careless if -int sells or not...alchemist can make money off the countless other pvp items...p pots, g heals, walls, hallu pots,....

My suggested fix:

Put a min. on how low stats can be lowered
i would say make this Minimum Cap be 15

so if you int is 15 or less it cannot be lowered any further by spells.. this would be the same for str and dex.
i think this would fix your problem and would be a great solution to being cursed by monsters while hunting and not knowing what your stats were at

This has been discussed time, and time, and time, again.

If you want to min/max your character, expect the stat gains that go with it.
That's the price you pay for tweaking.

We will not be stat locking.
I've already reduced gains a shitton over what they were in the past, i am not reducing them any further. You all have it worlds easier than anyone did 5 years ago.

well just a question kind of a little off topic but not really... but can we get stat caps back to 100 for skills? just a question makes more money for fishers players that want 100 at a stat dont have to buy stuff to keep it there and such.... just a thought though...

bob,
how would you feel about the idea i proposed?

the problem he experienced was that his warrior was cursed when he logged so he didnt know his true stats.

my suggestion to fix this is that curse and all stat lowering spells cannot reduce a players stats below 15.. this way a warrior would be able to hunt.. still get int gains as usual but wouldnt be playin russian roulet when he logged not knowing if his stats were stll cursed or not... and what his true stat was.

I think this would be a good implementation.. besides.. there is nothing that it can really hurt.. it can only do good.. a player shouldn't be worried about lowering a player below 15 ne ways with spells.. so yea.. i think it would work rather well for warriors that do hunt

g'day

i agree with adam..... i logged came back n got the overcap penalty...not fair especially if im not checking my stats every second im playing...i would of prevented it if i decided to be paranoid about int every time i logged on and off my warrior/ranger chars. You would literally have to be paranoid about int just to catch it everytime after being cursed and shit. I refuse to be paranoid.....make some changes so that it doesnt affect the fun in the game.

And yes I do know you work hard to make us happy I appreciate it this is just a suggestion makes the experience a lil more enjoyable for every class that hunts.
