then that needs to be fixed...
chain should weigh half the weight of plate..

the whole purpose of chainmail and ringmail historically was to allow for more mobility..
as far as increasing the AR on them.. ummm... i dunno.. i think on a general basis each piece should be like 2-4 ar down from plate..

there is actually more metal with chain and ring than plate its just more flexible... has always been my understanding of it.

but i am probably wrong soooo.... yeah.....

im not sure what is actually heavier.. it would depend on the thckness of the plate and type of metal
chainmil was worn under plate armour.. and under the chain armour they wore a cloth oufit. gussing this was sorta like medevil long johns.. lol

umm but for the games sake id say chain lighter

all types of plate chest weigh the same in game at least
