Post subject:  Best Obsidian Memories
Well I was thinking today while I was on Obsidian and came across a name I hadn't seen in awhile; Abraxys. I started thinking back to the time when I first joined because of Flame and Albert etching me to join and what not. I started to remember all the times I had in Vesper, Britain and Haven and the stupid shit I have done over the years (and let me tell you, theres a lot of them!). I even started looking back at old screen shots I took from the battles with MoB, LoV, Cult, Dark Legacy and many other guilds.

What I am trying to get is, what are you favorite/best memories within this game?

Post some screen shots and any other things to show us some memories of the Obsidian we all love.

hmmm best memories for me would be all the players i met in cove when i began.. doing orc fort hunts...getting attacked by that noob Kaine joining KoN and warring with BoF noobs..always getting poofed to cove from wrong..when staff would still do monster bashes at cove also being amazed by the pvp events at haven my first month here. Dont have any ss's though but had plenty of fun...loved the destiny vs lov and mob war ...my order lord brothers coming back and letting me join.. had tons of fun times...My favorite memory was Lord British randomly showing up in ice isle... in front of Shamino's place...saying whats up.

No he was about 2 years ago? Right around the time Cult and Dark Legacy was first formed.

Ya and honestly once I saw his name all the memories I had from back 3 years ago came to me. Another thing that sparked this thread was because I was looking at my old forum account and saw that this October 8 will be 4 years that I was told about this game by Flame, Ice, and Albert.

I wish someone would post some old screen shots from back in the day. I would, but I am using a laptop now and all that information was lost when my computer went to shits, literally :(

Wish I could go back 3 years and relive those moments!

ashes saddly to say....
specifically this one time i was gonna escape from him ( was using my warrior to pvm)
then he ran up and e walled me, i dropped a rune, and actually got him low... so much so that the e wall/s around us were decaying
so i was thinking about not clicking the rune... but his loot would be better lawl.....

then my comp caught the blue screen of death :.(
i literally jumped up and SPPAARRTTAA kicked a table with lots of shit on it, and it flipped over lawl

then when i got bak on, i was being looted by some noob, i think it was feno....
i was like wtf?

It really is sad to say, but Ashes was probably a lot of peoples best memories on Obsidian.

Obsidian would not have been fun without that guy in the game no matter what people say.

Favorite catch phrase of Ashes: "I kill crafters" :)

For now I'll add:

- I kinda miss GWAR house parties in Cokane's keep.

- As a noob, I really liked grave-digging for some reason.

- Seeing Broadband for the first time in-game was neat.

- We had more Treasure Hunt and Monster Bash events.

- Dungeon crawls hosted by GM Thassius.

- Good times hunting with a lot of GWAR members who have since left the game.

- A very young player used to do and say some rather silly things who has also since left the game.

- Kicking out the pushiest or outright most annoying members of GWAR.

- Constant looting of Yew Brigand camp (weak NPCs, but there was much booze, food, and other stuff to be had).

- One PK I remember.. hunting with chips and maybe 1 other GWAR member.. a female player attacked us polymorphed. Chips slayed her and then she tried to come back for her loot. I chased her down and killed her with a fireball lol.

- The time some random dude came up to me and handed me a full set of Valorite, saying "Here's for being nice to Abib".

- Being shown boobies.

Planning and running quests and having no players complain is my favorite memory. Wait that didn't happen players always complained about getting something special for being part of the event. Favorite player memory would be the playerbase at the opening of sherwood. We had lots of considerate people back then. Hell even the pkers where considerate.
