Sorry to say this, but Bob you really messed up on this area of the game. Today I went to go sell a ride to someone only to realize I couldn't because I didn't have the needed requirements (Animal Lore & Magery) to be able to transfer the ride to another player. This resulted in someone (not mentioning names because it doesn't bother me) being able to tame it and run off with it. Now the only thing that bothers me about this whole situation is a) I lost the money I would have gained from the selling and b) someone lost out on being able to own the ride themselves. I am not asking for another ride, and or, a refund, but what I am asking you to do is a) taking off the stupid requirements needed for rides and b) if it ain't broke don't fix it (which seems to be a lot of things you try to 'fix'). Animals worked just fine back in the old system and no one needed to spam them, but the thing is that more people seem to spam animals now in this system ever since the needed requirements. I hope you see this and consider taking the Animal Lore/Animal Taming/Magery requirements needed to use animals off because it just causes more problems than good. |

Yes I tried that also, but without the requirements Bob has set up with animals it did not work. I wasn't going to post this if I didn't try every possibility of transferring it, which I did in that situation. Why animals needed requirements to use is beyond me. Just hope this problem is reverted back to original standings so people can use animals without worries. |

I want more people that actually do not agree (which I know a lot of people do) to voice their opinion. Just because it was changed to this way doesn't mean it is set in stone. If enough players show that this is a problem than I am sure Bob would gladly change it back. |

i agree its stupid and i really dislike it.... u HAVE to have either animal lore or taming or magery to control a horse or any kind of animal.... That alone fucks with a warrior build alot |

Exactly what I was going to bring up, and I am happy you brought that to my attention Hemlock. Back before this change this was a typical warrior build: Anatomy Archery Healing Parrying (not always used, but sometimes) Poisoning Resisting Spells Tactics Weapon: their own personal choice (fencing, swords, mace) However, now that the this new requirement for using animals came in the new build is as follows: Anatomy Animal Lore/Animal Taming/Magery (req. for using animals) Archery Healing Parrying Poisoning Resisting Spells Tactics Weapon: their own personal choice Now in order to do the second build the person is now forced to either drop a skill or change into a race. However, if the person has enough skill points saved up than he/she may be able to bypass this problem. In making a build I like to know that I have the freedom to add whatever skills I want to make it good. I also do not like being forced (yes, you are honestly FORCED to add Animal Lore/Taming/Magery) to add unnecessary skills into the mix. |

or have everyone have a extra animal slot + their ride its not like you can ride dragons so you can't really find a horse or stang useful in pvp if you do you have lots of nerve.. Make it so that 1/0 is 1/1 so that people are able to control one animal...i like the idea that u need to know about animals to control them . I think if people want to unshrink more than one npc they should have skills such as taming n such but if they want to just use 1 it would suffice for people trading stangs etc... N i def do not agree with going back to before .... what kinda advantage does a tamer have if any mage is able to control ten npcs. |

I like the idea of being able to control one animal without any of the requirements assigned by Bob. And like you stated above, if anyone thinks they can use their mustang to fight during a PvP has a lot of balls. When have you seen any mage, regardless of when it happened, ever spam 10 NPCs? |

Yes, but the only 2 combat skills he has are tactics and archery. He mainly is a crafter, and he is pretty much the only person I know that did that to his character. |

Well regardless I really think that this whole requirement be taken out and animals kept simple. I honestly don't feel like worrying about whether or not I have the needed requirement to transfer a ride, tame a couple animals, or anything else that we do with animals on this game. However, I do like the idea proposed above about giving people a animal slot already in tact and being able to extend that number by training animal lore/taming/or magery. Yet, I don't really want this idea to be chosen off the bat unless my first proposal can be made (i.e. getting rid of it altogether). Blah, this game, although entertaining, really does push my buttons at times.... |
