ok so apparently either everyone is poor or nobody needs armor anymore :? or my prices are way too high :( im assuming that my prices are too high so to try and remedy this im trying to find a balance and would like all of your opinions.

how much would you like to see armors selling for?



right now for pricing I am averaging the item id price with the price that armor used to sell for back in 2006/2007. so basically lowering it by half :cry:

right now a full set+heater I have listed for
Iron 684 (give it away if anyone needs)
Rusty 976 (also give it away)

Yeah I'd say about half is right. Since the gold wipe, the economy has been kind of restructuring itself. I'm also one of the poor ones. I'd be about 45k richer if one of my houses that I kept refreshed didn't just vanish :(

I don't think it's a money issue...entirely...

The thing is....the people that are left playing right now are all older players...and all the older players have smiths of their own.

Until we get some new blood your competition is the laziness of other players.... basically the amount of money for a set of armor has to be less then their time is worth to make a set themselves.

Unfortunately, this lowers demand for armor to almost nothing.

Yep.
There are several players with gp in the millions. The economy is strong enough. And yes, most players online now have a miner or different priorities than the rest...eg training etc. Once those players get more established, more high end armor will be needed again. Another thing that would boost sales would be a surge in members playing :P

I thought about it being mostly older players around now too except anything I make under verite disappears withen the day usually leaving me to believe either the one guy who was buying quit or stopped going through armor so fast. Having a set on my vendor for a week is expensive very very expensive I updated the price to about half it was listed and will check when I get home but I'm thinking I'm just gonna pull it and only sell low level crap again

heh yea prices are to high. People sell brand new val sets 15k each. Rob sells Rose set 75k each

For 15k for the amount of work it would take to make a val set i would sit my ass at home and not bother.

pretty much yeah not selling for that low... ever you can buy it from rob until he gets fed up with being poor for all his work then raises his prices as well.

eh i got like 10 sets of val dont needa buy anymore lol. Also rob isnt poor :P he has alot from mining and he loves to mine all the time he reminds me of chilly.

over the course of 3 hrs 40 min mining at gm i have found 38 valo, it takes 118 ingots to make a full set at the current rate it will take me about 12 hrs of mining to get enough for one set, even if i mine each day for an hour thats still almost 2 weeks of mining :roll: not letting that go for 15k sorry. pm me if anyone wants armor thats not on my vendor daily prices are too high for me to leave much on them for long.

will also start stocking highlevel bows again seems someone was buying them at least. :?
