I have seen smelting failure.

you smelt the ____ ore but are left with nothing useful

This seems to have started with the adjustment to ingot weights.
I saw nothing mentioned in the change logs, so I assume it is a bug.

Nash is right about the smelting losses.

After the weight adjustments for ingots the _____ ore is not useful
when smelting.

Both my miner and Nash's miner are GM miners.

So this problem should not be occuring for us each time we mine.
There really has to be a bug for smelting.

Well the smelting requirement for blackrock and bloodrock is 70. So you fail around 70 but i havent tryed it latley with my gm mining to see if i fail.

I lost a bloodrock...
:(

Seems I have failed on almost everything agapite and above, including 4 times in a row on myth.
I haven't lost a rose, silver, or blackrock yet. But I haven't mined any of them since this started.

I've lost something of just about most of them. No longer smelting the higher level stuff until someone confirms this is here to stay or that it is indeed a bug :)

Sorry about this, has to do with the weight chagne causing a wrong version of the ores to be loaded.
Will be fixed momentarily.

man tbh the staff here is like fng 100 times better than a paid staff even. obsidian players are really lucky to have such a great staff who always try to help and always fix bigs so fast when it is possible. and also care enough to usually give feedback and explanations when they dont have to. kudos
